How do you master the impulse buying? What do you tell yourself?
I just have a rule that I don't buy from the checkouts.
I cannot afford impulse buying
I have not mastered impulse buying. Though, I will say that having a small child has made it easier to refuse those impulse buy items. It's easier to say no to her and justify it, than it is for me to just walk on by.
are you gonna die if ya dont have it ----nope
I leave the store and come back if I really want the item. I am always telling myself, "Wait. It'll be on sale soon."
If you want to eat, you can't buy that.
I honestly am not able to be an impulse buyer anymore. My funds are usually tied up, with either the kids, or bills. But isn't everyone in that boat? I tell myself "you need petro n the metro"...either that or food will usually curb that spontaneous spending.
I don't buy it if I never use it
I generally only buy what I need so I just don't give in to impulse buying with the exception of certain foods which I have a weakness to or for DVD's.
Unless I need something or I can justify the purchase I don't bother.
I laybuy or forget that I have been in that store |
