When a product does not live up to its promises, do you make a complaint, or do you think that is just a waste of time?

I compalin, or not, depending on the ticket price.

the wife usually gets the fire up so i don't have to worry about it.

It happened when i bought a bajaj pulsar bike i did make a complaint to the H.R. manager based at Pune, the dealer at Madurai did make an attempt to remedy by replacing the clutch plate, all to no avail. I eventually exchanged it for a bajaj caliber; was not satisfied with the bike, sold it, went for a Honda product and am fully satisfied with it.

It depends upon the product, proximity to when I purchased it, and general relevance to my quality of life. A defective car would be more problematic than a noisy coffee maker. I think it is important to raise the issue if dissatisfied, though knowing who will respond and how is part of the "game." Apple is bar none one of the most responsive companies whereas another company might not even answer the phone. It isn't a waste of time to communicate poor service or defective merchandise for it provides an opportunity for a company to improve or adjust. If consumers wish to affect the marketplace, feedback is an essential part of the process.

i complaint!!!!

I contact the company. They want to know how their product is viewed and experienced by customers - good and bad. Hearing the bad helps them improve and hearing the good helps them know what we like.

I complain. Collectively, it might make a difference.

Products that don't do live up to their promises are usually make-up or cosmetics so even though I don't like them someone else might do. In this case it would be just my skin type that doesn't work with that product. But when it comes to gadgets, if they don't work properly they are heading right back to the store!

I will make a complaint - but I do my best to be polite and to do it respectfully and not in an attacking manner. I believe you can only do better if you know better, so if I don't say something when I am not satisfied, how can I expect anything to change?

I always complain, but I try to complain to the right party instead of just qvetching. I do also qvetch in a blog, so that others may be warned.

I simply boycott that item.

Definitely complain and will always endeavour to suggest how goods and or services in particular could be improved upon.

I drop an email complaint
