Yes, absolutely. I try to buy local as much as possible. I have trouble shopping at Trader Joe's these day since so much of there stuff is from far away places. I think about the foot print of the product and when I imagine the amount of energy it took to get that product on the shelf I am not comfortable buying it.
Farmers Markets are the best place to shop for local products.
