All of the clothes and gadgets get recycled or reused in our house. I have donated a lot of items to Goodwill and have put some items up on the free section on Craiglist.
I hope to learn how to sew someday and upcycle some items.
I re-sell couture and donate the rest. I am a strong proponent of recycling in all capacities.

If it was really expensive, I try to sell it, other stuff I just give to friends or the clothing drive.
I don't have gadgets that I don't use but are still in good condition. The clothes I just donate or give them to family members.
I sell them online or donate them! My shoes I sell on http://www.IfTheShoeDoesntFit.com of course, and my books and gadgets I tend to sell on niche auction sites as well. My experience has been that although niche sites don't get as much traffic as ebay, so items can take a bit longer to sell, they sell to a qualified audience sp they want what you have and there is less hassle about price etc.
I donate them to local thrift stores if no one I know needs them.
Clothes are donated to charity or sold to second hand clothes company. Gadgets are either passed on to other family members or friends and occasionally sold.
