I felt pretty safe, although confused the first few years since English isn't my first language. My favorite friends were Mercedes Padrino because her dad was a Freemason and she was from Cuba; and Eriko Amino who had hair down to her knees. Then there's Arthur Steuer, who I will never forget because I had a crush on him until he tripped me on purpose and screwed up my leg, and subsequently my back, for life.

it was great. my most vivid memory is of mr. thacher. he was the coolest. and mr. lee who gave me swats. mr sutton who was our sicence teacher. charlie dijulio, rob boaz, penny bossert, brenda lara, mike bernal, danny battroff, cheryl garcia, philip and lori weston, shane laidlaw, mike lucero, georgene scapoochie, sally burden dicky burden bobby burden, and mrs.gilbert

I was very shy in grade school. We moved a little bit so I went to three elementary schools. Mr. Lambert was my favorite teacher.

I went to private school for grade school and middle school. I had a small class of 18.

I had my initial education in an Asan Pallikoodam- one local teachen taught us the vernacular alphabets, mostly writing on a sandy base. You write a letter as taught by the teacher and erase the letter and begin the next letter. Wesat on the ground, had sever punishment, if we did not learn promptly.

After a year, i started going to primary school, which was about a kilometre away from home. I had to walk, along with children from our neighbourhood. It was full day classes. Istudied there for four years, after which i could go to Middle School, more than 3 km away from home.

I remember the Head Master Mr Kesava Pillai and another teacher, Sankara pillai. Both were terrors for children. If the Head Master was on leave , even for a day, the students were very happy. i am not able to recollect other teachers.

Mrs. Walker and Mr. Brown. They taught me alot and I loved school...

Very confusing/I was isolated and frightened/kept looking at other students w/hate

I recall Mrs. Irwin the most. She was my first grade teacher and I was very shy. Due to this shyness I was reluctant to ask to be allowed to go to the bathroom. One day I wet my pants in class. She made me stand in front of the class and apologize.

We all sat in rows....with a desk. Teachers were kept controll. I liked recess...so I didn't have to sit. I liked lunch but I hated the food. I was in Girl Scouts and the girls were all involved in it too.

Primary school was fun yet, boring. I guess I was a little bit in a hurry to grow up. Most of the time, I spent my days reading books in the library. I was a nerd back then. Maybe until now. The teachers were all very nice to me. I was always in the honor roll.

I'm still friends with my classmates even of pre-elementary school. School... I was one of those normal logical child and teen who never liked to go to school or study too much.

Primary was awesome :)

I don't recall any of the teachers. I recall my first girlfriend most vividly.

Small school in Aloha Oregon. built in like early 1900's all the kids lived in the neighborhood. good after school programs, Typical suburbia I suppose

A living nightmare

My Primary was okay,
i remember all of them and all teachers.

I HATED school! I especially hated 4th grade. Our teacher was a nun and she didn't like me and I was constantly in trouble because of it.
