If they sincerely feel the hike is justified, I would suggest them to have one on one talk with the boss in manner which boss would understand the situation. I mean telling not yelling the way the boss likes to listen. I would suggest them following steps….
Take a prior Appointment [ Check if the boss is in Good & High Spirits ]
Tell the Boss: How he & the organization mean a lot to him & improved his and his Family’s quality of living.

 | How did you get into coaching? only Because of Two Persons:
1] Shree Chokkaapu Venkata Ramana Garu... A famous Majician from Hyderabad
2] Shree Gampa Nageshwar Rao... Very famous & Powerful Speaker & Trainer from India. |
 | Do you have innate qualities, or is it something that you learned? Many say I have innate qualities but the fact is I have Learnt.... |
 | Can you describe briefly the technique or methodology you use? I believe in Connecting to the Hearts & Souls of participants, Thats what I do...
I call it Approach rather than Technique or Mrthodology. I relate to them & they assosiate. |
 | When the coach is confused or lost, where does he/she find a guide? It does happen sometimes, but carefull preparation will always ensure it doesn't happen usually.
Inspite of that if I am confused I would dfinitely find Guide who is within me. Thanks to the Books I have read, Experieces of self & others also are helpful.
One needs to remember the Job of the Coach is neither to creat Cofusion or get Confused but to remove confusion. |
 | What must the person you are helping contribute? Open mind, Commitment, Dedication, Trust & Interest are always appreciated but not a compulsion. These things can always be developed over a period of Time. The most Important & Vital thing is willingness & being prepared. |
 | What motivates someone to work more efficiently? Desire of getting & Fear of Loosing usually. |
 | How do you work on the emotional plane? Acknowledgement, Acceptance & Addressing are the three steps to be followed. Channeling those emotions towards achieving the Objectives & Goals is another important step to be taken. |
 | Can positive thinking can be developed into a habit? With enough Practice, Yes Positive Thinking can be developed in to Habit.
Why only this?
Anything can be definitely developed in to Habit by Practice. |
 | How does one learn to listen? I remember having asked my Friend who was really known as a Good Listener, How do you do that?
His Reply: I don’t talk while others are Talking, I don’t Contradict or Stop them abruptly while they are speaking to me.
I understood best way to Listening is letting others tell. |
 | How do you define the concept commitment? What importance does it have in the development of a person? Commitment is all about assuring Self & Others about certain things which are to be done, Performed & delivered in the Time frame agreed up on.
It’s a Promise. A promise is an Obligatory to be Lived & Fulfilled. Its also Turning Up & Taking Charge. There are no two ways about it.
Commitment is of utmost importance in the development of a Person, as it brings in Courage, Clarity in Thoughts & Definiteness in Actions, Resulting in to Development. |
 | Both of the following are necessary, but how are dreaming and realism balanced? Serenity Prayer - Reinhold Niebuhr
God, give us grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.
As long as one understands the above in its True Sense & Spirit. One can dream of anything yet can find balance only if required. |
 | Is it necessary at times to reorient a person’s desires and expectations? If it’s required, then yes but One shouldn’t mistake fickleness to Flexibility. It all Depends…..
But the Big Question is who should Decide? |
 | Discipline and creativity: are they two forces in opposition, or are they complementary? They complement each other.
In fact Usually Creativity reaches its Destination, i.e. Realisation through Discipline. |
 | What are your personal relationships like with the people you work with? I am there for them & they are there for me. We not only know this but also have experienced it. |
 | What is usually the main obstacle your clients face? Themselves Only. |
 | How do you know if a challenge is the right one for a person? I only assist them. I don't Decide or be Judgemental, rather I will assist them in Deciding & Judging. |
 | When the coach is confused or lost, where does he/she find a guide? Who is the coach of the coach? Within Self. The Job of the Coach is to take care of His/Her clients whenever they Feel Lost or Confused. |
 | Can an excess of self-esteem be the worst obstacle? Excess of anything & everything can always be obstacle. |
 | How do you recommend selecting a coach? Should it be someone who has followed the path that he/she wants to? Should it be someone they admire? Should be able Understand & Analyse the Person & Situation.
Should be able Identify the Problem & Launch Solution.
Even if it's someone who has followed the Path or Admired one whats the Use If He/She [The Probable Coach] Doesn't've the above Qualities..... |
 | If someone wants to initiate a self-transformation, what general advice would you give him/her? I congratulate them. Listen to them, Encourage them & Assure them that the Process is very Easy & Attainable. I would clarify their doubts & offer few suggestions on being Asked. |
