| What is your professional background? What were you doing before? Bachelors Degree In Computer Science.

| How did the entrepreneurial spirit rise up in you? Were you exposed to entrepreneurship in your family or your social environment when you were a child? The realisation kicked in while was working as an application developer. That i can excel beyond this. I knew there is a risk in changing my career path from a developer to an entrepreneur. The support and motivation from my family is what motivated me. |
| Do you have partners working with you on this? How do you split the work with them? Well, I am the Director, Business Development. Have a Technical, Director as well.
But i put my hands in all the areas i.e marketing, development, support, finance, HR.
As i believe everything is a learning experience and trying these out you know the real issues the employee face in each sector. Hence we get a better staff management. |
| Describe your business plan as briefly and simply as possible. We, at Smart Hatch Solutions(SHS), provide state-of-the-art solutions in website designing and development, software development, mobile application development, content development and server support needs.
We believe is delivering the works with perfection rather than flooding with work.
So most of our works come from client reference.
After all a satisfied client is what every company is looking for and we try out best to achieve the same. |
| What have you achieved up to now? What have you yet to achieve? We have 30+ clients for web in US, UK, Germany, Middle East, India, Indonesia....
Currently looking to expand into mobile application development. Have successfully completed a few projects in this domain as well. |
| Are you looking for investors? What are you offering in exchange for what? Well, At present we are not in need of investors. Angel investors are always welcome . What we can offer in exchange will be discussed with and best possible solution can be worked out i.e one which favors the company and the investor equally. |
| Do you have employees or people that you outsource tasks to? What do they do? We manage a team of 10 inhouse. We also have a team of 15+ working as freelance for us. |
| Entrepreneurs have a reputation as "control freaks." How do you avoid that? Things are to be in control always or there is Chaos!
That doesn't mean i dictate my employees. They get their freedom to express and present their thought at any point of time. |
| How do you balance work with relaxation? Well I love biking. Take my bike(bicycle) ride it ride for some time i am all relaxed.
Also i play basket ball. Physical fitness reflects in mental ability to work! So i maintain that. Well music is also relaxing. |
| What is your main motivation: being your own boss, adventure and discovery, getting rich, doing good for others, or is there something else? My motivation would be
Being you own boss. Yes!
Discovery. Yes!
Getting Rich. Very Much!
Mostly the control i have over things, Limitless opportunities to explore which is not possible working under someone. and could say the feeling of responsibility towards myself and my employees. |
| What do you think of big corporations? Would you work for one? No i don't.I like being my boss! Not to work for any one whether it be big or small.
Hoping to make this company into a big one someday though. |
| Describe two moments of maximum fear and maximum satisfaction that you have lived through in your business adventure. Maximum fear: Is the time after delivering a project and getting client review.
(The very thought "Have SHS satisfied the client" is haunting)
Maximum Satisfaction: Is got when client gives an excellent review on our work.
Even more when he refers SHS. |
| When you need guidance or advice, where do you find it? Parents are always supportive and there to help and guide me.
Or i go the the subject expert depending on the issue. |
| Up to what point is luck is important? How do you attract it? Luck is important in everything. But bad luck should be expected as well.
We go our work well. Satisfy our clients. Have positive thoughts. Keeps hopes high. |
| What do you do to maintain morale and continue persevering in low times? Low times happens to all. We look to come out of it as soon as possible always have a positive vibe by not letting the employees know. i.e always keep the employees at their best spirit. Even at low times. a push or support is what they will need. Always making sure they get that n a bit extra so their productivity is never low. |
| Which well known entrepreneurs/enterprises do you admire? Why? Work culture at GOOGLE! why? as it stand out from other companies. how happy the employees are the better they work. We try to follow the same at SHS. |
| What other types of businesses are you frequently tempted by? I have always been tempted to do something with light! and optics! have to get this stable then will i experiment. |
| Are these times of crisis good for beginning a business? Time of crisis? When has there not been a crisis! I believe if you are different you can survive and thrive any crisis. As the world is always ready to accept something new to the boring same ideology one is sticking on to. |
| How important have PR and social media been for you? As a matter of fact "Not Much" till not. But i believe it is a really important part.
So we can showcase our work to the world.And actually capture more attention.
We are also starting to start social media marketing for our clients to promote their business as well. |
| What would you call success? Where would you like your business to be five years from now? Every satisfied client is considered a Succes!!!
Expectations are always high. Hoping to reach far out in the world and to be known by at least 1% of the world wouldn't be bad at all. |
| What skills would you advise a want-to-be-entrepreneur to acquire? New client acquisitions and Business Development.
Market Research for generating Leads and bringing new accounts to organization.
Plans strategies to expand the customer base in the sales area for attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
