 | What is your specialty in illustration? Editorial cartoons. |
| What are your regular clients like? What do they expect from you? Magazines and ad agencies. They expect fast, funny work. |
| Have you completed formal art studies, or are you self-taught? Graphic art training....commercial art course at art school. |
| How did you get your first full assignment? What did it involve? A weekly sports cartoon in UK's largest selling newspaper....News Of The World. |
| What past or present day illustrators do you admire most? I really admire this guy!.......

| How similar are your current drawings to those you did as a child? Very similar in style...just better observed. |
| What was your favorite comic book as a child? Casper the friendly ghost. |
| What is hardest to draw? Getting the hands right. |
| Do you have a favorite work of art? Anything by Picasso. |
| What do you do when a client simply says "I don't like it"? I say, "Let me buy you lunch, and we'll start from scratch." |
| What part of your work do you do on paper and what part digitally? Felt tip pen line drawing on a4 paper, scanned into photoshop, then colour-filled. |
| What research do you do for your illustrations? A good long session on Google. |
| Do you have colleagues with whom you share techniques, tricks, ideas, etc.? Yes my good friend quilljar@btinternet.com |
| Do you have any specific goals as an illustrator? Keep on working, I enjoy it, and I can by my wife ANOTHER pair of new shoes! |
| What are you working on now? A series of 50 cartoons for a plastic surgeon in NY...(do you know any plastic surgery gags?) |
| What advice do you have for someone who likes to draw and would like to make a living from it? Perseverance is key, draw every day, and try to sell every day....(and leave a few customers for me please) |
