CREATIVITY
 | How and why did you begin to be creative? I guess it is just part of my personality. |
 | Your mind is your work tool. How do you take care of it? I rest it when it needs rest. |
 | How do you avoid repeating yourself, or falling into formula? How do you stay fresh? I write down my creative thoughts onto the computer to use them later on, or to go back to remember such thoughts. |
 | Do you have a ritual like retiring to a lonely place from time to time to cleanse your mind? Not really no. |
 | What cultural sources do you draw from the most? I draw sources from different cultures. |
 | Who have your teachers been? I've been my own teacher. |
 | When you accept a job, how much value do you place on each of the following? Money, creative liberty, visibility, and to work with the best. I would put value on creative liberty and visibility. |
 | Have you ever had a job that was so stimulating that you could not get your mind off of it? No. |
 | "To give birth to ideas." Is this only an expression, or are there really parallels between giving birth and creativity? There isn't. I believe ideas already exist, but we need to discover them. |
 | Does spirituality contribute to your creativity? Yes. |
 | Must someone be the leader or boss in order for a creative team to function well? Yes. |
 | Declaration: With what person or business would you like to work? Animal caring business or religious business. |
 | What criteria do you use when selecting someone to be a part of your creative team? I would use their creativity. |
 | The armchair psychologist: Is creativity an act of rebellion for you? Not necessarily. |
 | Do you work well under pressure? Basically no. |
 | You are as good as your last idea. Wouldn't you like to have a more secure type of work? I prefer to be my own boss in my own business and not under someone else. |
WRITING
 | What is your favorite genre? Can you provide a link to a site where we can read some of your work or learn something about it? Romance. www.fanfiction.net. |
 | What is your creative process like? What happens before sitting down to write? My creative process takes some times. I usually think up new ideas when I'm restless. |
 | What type of reading inspires you to write? Depends really. Some times it's a news article while other times it could be a story I read. |
 | What do you think are the basic ingredients of a story? The characters and details of locations the characters are in. Storyline is important as well. |
 | What is required for a character to be believable? How do you create yours? This is a hard one. I think the character shouldn't know what will happen next for him or her to be believable. I create mine some times just to create them and they don't necessarily have any personality at first. |
 | Are you equally good at telling stories orally? That's a negative. |
 | Deep down inside, who do you write for? I write for myself. |
 | Is writing a form of personal therapy? Are internal conflicts a creative force? Affirmative for both. |
 | Does reader feed-back help you? Yes. |
 | Do you participate in competitions? Have you received any awards? No. I prefer not to participate in competitions. |
 | Do you share rough drafts of your writings with someone whose opinion you trust? No. |
 | What discipline do you impose on yourself regarding schedules, goals, etc.? I don't discipline myself on that. When I feel like writing and have some thing to write I write it. |
 | Do you write on a computer? Do you print frequently? Do you correct on paper? What is your process? I write on the computer. Some times I go over the chapter I write and correct some mistakes I might have missed before. |
 | What has been your experience with publishers? So far none. |
 | What do you recommend I do with all those things I wrote years ago but have never been able to bring myself to show anyone? Keep them to yourself. Some times some writings are best not known. |
SCIENCE
 | Should there be more public financing for scientific investigation? Scientific investigation. |
 | What is your personal position on the use of animals in scientific investigation? I don't like it. |
 | What scientific explanation is there for spirituality? Are religion and science incompatible? Both religion and science are compatible to each other. |
 | Is there another way science could be studied in schools? There probably could be some other way. |
 | Why do two or more scientists often come up simultaneously with the same discovery? They might be working together, or they might be searching for the same thing at the same time. |
BLOGGING
 | What is your blog address? What subjects do you deal with? I have numerous blogs. I deal with numerous subjects. |
 | What was it that made you create your blog? On what date did you start it? The first blog I created was a blog about my life. I wanted to put down some experiences and thoughts onto it. I started blogging on the 20th of May 2008. |
 | What blogging system have you adopted and why? Blogger. |
 | Have you created relationships with other bloggers or readers of your blog? No. I prefer not to have relationships with other bloggers or readers. |
 | How often do you post? Does regular posting of your blog require a lot of effort on your part? How often I post depends on the blog. When writing my own stuff on my blog, it does require some effort and discipline on my part. |
 | Does blogging bring in income for you? Can one make a living from posting? No. I prefer not to get income from my blogging. |
 | How do you promote your blog? I don't necessarily promote it. I think the search engines promote them basically. |
 | How would you define your readers? Have you got a faithful audience? I would say I have interesting readers. I probably do have a faithful audience. |
 | How do you see your blog evolving in the future? I see it becoming a website in itself. That's how I see it evolving in the present. |
 | What advice would you give to someone who wishes to begin a blog? You don't have to chose about what subject you want to write. You just write down whatever thoughts you want to share. You would need to be aware that people around the world would see it and be silent about it without commenting. |
PERSONALITY
 | If you were sent to a deserted island, which book, CD and film would you take with you? Book: Qur'an. CD: Qur'an. Film: Some Pokemon film perhaps. |
 | In moments of tension, what techniques work in calming the mind? Trying to be patient and understanding. One would need to realize that they are tense and for what reason they are tense. |
 | It is 5 pm on a typical Sunday: what are you doing? On the computer I would say. |
 | Something in which you are completely incompetent. Swimming. |
 | Please list something you have not yet done, but that you would definitely like to do someday. Getting married and having children. Establishing an Islamic center. |
 | Which animal do you prefer for company? Domestic: Cat. Wild: Owl. |
IDEAS
 | Did God create the world in seven days, or do you believe in the theory of evolution? God created the world in seven days. |
 | To what percentage do you believe in statistics? I would say below 50%. |
 | Do you believe many illnesses can be caused by the mind? I wouldn't say "many", but I do believe there are some illnesses that can be caused by the mind. |
 | Do you think tipping is a good custom? Basically no. |
 | Do you think the catastrophism about climate change has been exaggerated? I would say yes and no. |
 | What is your opinion of the rise in popularity of plastic surgery and implants? I don't like them. It changes how a person naturally looks. I would only accept plastic surgery when it helps with burns on the skin or something. As for implants, that decision returns to those who need it because I haven't experienced it so I wouldn't understand it. |
 | Do extraterrestrials exist? Yes. If it was important for us to know where and how then we would eventually find them, or they'd find us. If it isn't important, we would never know about them and they would never know about us. |
CULTURE
 | What do you use: Mac or PC and why? PC. I just haven't had the chance to use a Mac yet. |
 | Do you believe there is excessive sex and violence in the media? Yes. Almost to the point that they are the only things that matter in the world, like there is no good news. |
 | Do you think video games, chat rooms, etc. have a dangerous addictive
effect on teenagers? In general yes. As an individual it would depend on the teenager. |
 | How do you kill time? By being on the internet. |
 | In which city do you live? What are your favourite and least favourite things about it? I live in Amman. My favorite thing about it is that I'm around Muslim brethren, and my least favorite thing is their ignorance about Islam. |
POLITICS
 | What matters more in deciding your vote: the party, the candidate, or the ideas? The ideas. |
 | Do you think religion has a place in politics? Yes. Tremendously. |
 | Are high abstention levels a serious problem for democracies? Yes. How could you get ideas across if there aren't people in government to support them? |
 | Why does hunger continue to exist in the world? Is this the result of a deliberate policy? Hunger continues to exist in the world because of the greed of developed countries and the neglect of the developing countries. |
 | What political figures in recent history do you admire most? Prophet Muhammad. |
 | Two-party systems are on the rise: is this good for politics? Yes. The more the diverse the better. |
 | Should any territory have the right of self-determination if a majority of the population votes in favour of doing so? In most cases most definitely, but in some cases if such territory leads to the division of a country that was always a part of it then I would say no.
Some territories that have the right for self-determination are territories like Kashmir and Western Sahara.
A territory that doesn't have the right for self-determination is a territory like Kurdistan. |
 | Does a state have the right to attack or intervene in another country that has not attacked said state, if the country has committed grave injustices or crimes against humanity? Absolutely not! A state has the right to complain about it, but NOT attack it. |
 | Are we witnessing the end of the American empire? Yes. With all its domestic problems and its greedy foreign policy I would say the American empire is going to end eventually. It is inevitable, similar to how the British empire or Soviet Union ended. |
 | Why did the economies of communist countries fail? From what I understand about the term communism, it is the policy of such a state that leads to its economy failing. |
 | Do you actively or economically collaborate with any social organization, NGO, etc.? No. |
 | Do you believe in any of the conspiracy theories regarding 9-11? If one of them is the U.S. attacking itself then yes. |
 | Are there peoples more civilized than others? Or is it merely a question of cultural differences? I would say a question of cultural difference. |
 | Are there too many taxes? Definitely. |
 | Does globalisation help in the development of the world's poorest countries, or does it perpetuate conditions of exploitation? It perpetuates conditions of exploitation. |
 | Are you pro-choice or pro-life? Pro-Life. |
 | Are you in favor of or against the death penalty? I'm in favor of it. |
 | Do you believe that the world crisis can bring positive changes to social values? Yes. |
 | What significant changes do you think Obama can bring about along his presidential term? I think he would bring more damage and suffering during his presidential term. |
PHILOSOPHY
 | What is a friend? A friend is a person that is there for you during the good and bad times. |
 | Does the soul exist? Yes. Our knowledge about it is very limited though. |
 | Where does science end and ideology begin? I'd say they interact with each other. |
 | Your own definition for beauty Beauty is on the inside. It's the person's personality and not how they look on the surface. |
 | What is God? The God is who created us and is looking over us. |
 | If the ticket price for a football match is twice the regular price for those 12 years of age or older, and your child turned twelve yesterday, what age would you say your child is? I wouldn't lie. I would say my child's actual age no matter how close his age changed. |
 | If you were a millionaire, what would be your charitable work? My charitable work would be on health and education basically. |
 | Please list three important words for the world today. Have inner conscience. |
 | What is the best attitude to have for experiencing life and not missing out on its intensity? The best attitude for that is to accept whatever comes your way, regardless of it consequence or difficulty. |
