Not always but I do prefer certain brands.

Yes but I do think it is less difficult to prevent than to repair.

extraterrestrials is everything out there that it isn't here so yes, they do exist.

What is to come after consumist society?
probably the eco, bio society. People will eventually have to spend more time concerning their world or it will be all "consumed".
Do you find the saturation of advertising in the media excessive?
I sure do but people keep buying lots of stuff so I believe it works.
Do you believe there is excessive sex and violence in the media?
Yes but this is what keeps the ratings high.
What were your favourite subjects when you were in primary/secondary school?
maths, german, romanian and geography
Do you think video games, chat rooms, etc. have a dangerous addictive effect on teenagers?
Yes, teenagers should definitely start discovering their real world because there are so many beautiful things and places out there.
Has there been a personal-growth book that has transformed your life?
Actually there were two! Ciresarii by Constantin Chirita and Harry Potter hihi
Have you ever bought works of art? What type of art? What compels you to purchase art?
I don't have money (yet!) to buy paintings and sculptures but I did buy movies, CDs and handmade jewelry and handbags. I love having any kind of art object as I find they have more personality than others
Do you defend urban graffiti?
Only as long as it's in right places not on every building.

Elle mag
Piracy continues to grow: What will happen to the music and film industries and culture in general?
I don't think it will change much, piracy started ever since music and film industries began so I don't think it will make a big difference in the future.
What sports do you play and how often?
I try to go to the gym as much as I can.
How do you explain the rise in "fame" culture?
So many non-talented people are getting promoted just because usual people like them more than they would like really talented people. I mean they probably don't envy them as much as they would envy talent. And the fact that these people got famous makes them believe they could easily be famous too. Because this is all that people really want: fame, power, money.
What do you have in your wallet right now?
More receipts than cash, some change, bank card, pictures of my family and friends, subway ticket
How do you kill time?
cooking, surfing the net, watching TV series, reading and taking 2 hours baths
In which city do you live? What are your favourite and least favourite things about it?
I currently live in Bucharest. I love that there are so many events going out in here but i definitely hate the dust and the water. Oh and the lazy people too.
Where have you thought of going for your next holiday?
My friends and I already planned a 2 weeks tour of our country. Looking forward to it!

Is your personality that of an investor or a spender?
I invest so I can have what to spend.
Do you love or hate to go to stores? Why?
I love to go to stores as long as it doesn't feel like the whole city is out shopping.
Are you in the habit of returning home with what you went out to buy, or do you spend money on other things?
This really depends on how much money I have. I do return home with what I went for and usually a little extra stuff.
Do you like to accompany shoppers to help them decide what to buy? Do you like others to accompany you when you shop?
I do like to accompany other if they are opened to my suggestions. But don't really like others to accompany me as I have the feeling they are always waiting for me to hurry up.
Do you use the internet to shop? Do you research on the internet first and then buy in stores or vice versa?
I do shop on the internet the products I can't find in my country but when it comes to expensive products or high tech stuff I always try them in stores.
Do you pay by credit usually, occasionally, or never? What justifies that?
I don't really own a credit card so no.
Are you in the habit of reading product labels? What type of information do you look for?
When I buy clothes I don't read labels as long as I like how the material feels. But when it comes to food I like to find as many natural ingredients as possible.
Which purchase criteria do you use: what you like, the top of the line, the relationship of quality-to-price, not paying for something you do not need...?

How is the financial crisis effecting your consumer habits?
It's hard so I have to buy less but not only the necessity.
Which is more important to you, to be up-to-date in technology, in culture, or in fashion?
Culture then fashion then technology. All three at a time if it's possible.
Which do you appreciate more in a hotel room, a television or Internet access?
I would say Internet access as I find it more expansive. Online is the new Black!
How do you purchase vacations, through a local travel agency, or on the Internet?
Both
How long has it been since you last bought a music CD? Where do you get the music you listen to?
It's been a while... I usually get it for free or from my friends.
How often do you go to the movies? Do you rent or buy DVDs? Do you download movies from the Internet?
I only go to the cinema when something good comes out, I buy some of the movies, I do download some of them (shame on me).
What do you do with clothes and gadgets you no longer need but are still in good condition?
I don't have gadgets that I don't use but are still in good condition. The clothes I just donate or give them to family members.
Do you recycle? What kind of waste is recycled where you live?
Sadly nothing is recycled where I live!
Bottled or filtered water? Paper or plastic bags?
Bottled water and paper bags although in here every shop has bio plastic bag. which I can't understand.
Do you use your area's public transportation? If you have a vehicle, what kind is it, and what do you use it for?
I use the subway and the tram. I don't have a vehicle but I would love a Mini Cooper.
Do you give preference to local products over of imported?
Of course I do! They make the best cheese in the country near my hometown, Sibiu!
When a product does not live up to its promises, do you make a complaint, or do you think that is just a waste of time?
Products that don't do live up to their promises are usually make-up or cosmetics so even though I don't like them someone else might do. In this case it would be just my skin type that doesn't work with that product. But when it comes to gadgets, if they don't work properly they are heading right back to the store!
Do you ever buy store brands? If so, what types of products, and which not?
I only buy the bread they make at the hypermarkets and maybe paper towels. Never hygiene products!
What is your assessment of the low-cost brand phenomenon?
I think it's a good thing that these brands exist because not everyone has all that money to spend on expensive stuff.
What percentage of your income do you consider appropriate to save for the future?
Up to 20% if I don't it
If you inherited the equivalent of 10 years worth of your annual income, what would you invest in?
A house maybe
How do you master the impulse buying? What do you tell yourself?
I don't buy it if I never use it
Do you see consumption as a social act? Is every purchase decision we make a vote?
Not necessary, we buy food 'cause we have to eat.
What basic advice on money management would you/do you give your children?
Keeping a secret diary to write down every single penny spent, every must-have product and the huge wish-list!
