MUSIC
 | What do you do? What is your musical specialty? I'm in first line a DJ, than a producer and Label Owner. But sometime I forgot to be a DJ. My music interest are focused in Electronic Music as techno, minimal and experimental music. |
 | Do you work alone or in a group? If in a group, who are the others you work with? I work by myself in my projects and musical works. I often have other djs and producers in my studios, and have some good time in composing grooves. With my Label I have other two friends of mine, the one is dj Geronimo a longtime friend of mine and the other one is Alex, my Label Manager who is working with us since more than 3 years now. We are a great team together, even we don't spent much time together as we would like to do. |
 | Is there a web address where one can listen, see, or read some of your work? Social Networks and artist pages are available as well as blogs. On our main page www.qt-records.com are all works and releases available, shortcuts for a listen and all available infos as iTunes podcasts for free download and everything you might know about us. |
 | Please list any awards, competitions, or other acknowledgments you would like to mention. Under the Darkfunk Project I've produced a track in 2006 which was released on vinyl, this was a competition which best tracks where pressed as well on CD in a limited edition coleciton.
I've reached with Neuroxyde (aka Aki Bergern) the top 10 Charts on Beatport in 2008. As well on Beatport in the following years top 10 Charts in Techno and General Charts.
With "the Hole" I've reached as well the Beatport Top 10 Charts as best sold tunes.
Compilation with ZYX Music Germany "The Kids wants Tech House" where as well on the list of the reached targets. |
 | Please list discography in which you have participated. Best thing is you have a look on iTunes or Beatport or any other major Music platforms. |
 | How did you begin making music? Who introduced you? I started make music in early ages with guitar. I finally learned playing it by myself, i hated to go to school, teacher weren't particularly able to make them's job!! |
 | What was your musical education? Just a few month with a music teacher. The rest has been done by myself!! |
 | When did you realise that making music could be a way of life for you? Since the beginning I heard music!! The most common answers you'll got from an artist. To be honest I can't remember when it was, everything has changed into this direction, so I just followed my way to it. |
 | What is your creative process? I don't follow a real process! I'm listening much music, I guess this is the right way to create his own music, without being a copy of someone, which is in my opinion a problem with lots of music producers today. |
 | When do you have your most lucid moments, in the morning or night? For sure in the night. During the day I use to make some office work, but music inspiration starts in the night! |
 | Have you ever awoken with a melody created from your dreams? No, everything comes up when I'm behind my mixing DAW in my studio! |
 | How do you know when a song is finished or needs no more changes? Specially happy.. but this is really rare... I found anytime something to change, even after the release. hooking up again on the tune and thinking about, "this had could be changed in this or the other way"! So a track in my opinion is a never-ending process! |
 | How did you discover your creative territory? How would you describe it? This was what I loved to listen to, it has inspired me since i can remember to have heard music. This way to produce music, in this simple musical structure, has completely involved me in this root. |
 | What part of your job is your least favourite? I Love Producing, it's an amazing part of my job, but Djing and traveling is in my opinion very exiting and my favourite part of the whole!!! |
 | How often do you practice? It's my job... i do it every day!! |
 | How do you feel right before going out on stage? VERY EXITING! Each time it's like do it for the first time, it's a never-ending kick! |
 | Which musicians or groups have been inspiring to your career? I don't have particularly any groups in my mind, i try to make my own music... but I can for sure say that the '80 and '90 have inspired me! |
 | List three songs that are key to your life. Les Violons D'ivre
These are the day of our life
Wild Boys |
 | What should be done to stop piracy? The author-rights enterprises should create some Virtual Scanning software to find tracks which are illegal on sites. Sharing Site should become illegal! People should understand that the music industry (at least the indipendent Labels and Artists) need to be supported with buying this stuff!! |
 | What type of music do you detest? Nazi music even political/propaganda oriented Music!! |
 | What time did you get up this morning? 1pm, any other question about? |
 | How do you sell yourself? What has been your experience with record companies and representatives? I'm simply myself, don't need to sell myself. I am the way I am, love me of hate me! There's a good relationship with other labels, there where two bad experiences I've done with other Labels. |
 | What other things have you done to make a living? I spent some of my time as real estate Brooker, it was a good time there, could organize myself the whole week, work whenever I wanted. The way it ends was not really amazing, but I've done my experience which helped me out, how to NOT to do it the way they've done with me! |
 | Have you ever played on the street or in the subway? How much did you collect each day? Never done it before... |
 | Who would you play with, without a doubt? No preferences... I would like to play with everyone, meet people is the nicest thing!! |
 | What advice would you give to someone starting out in the business? Before you think about Djing of become a producer, THINK TWICE!
No more privacy, no private life... you'll be out on the trip, night and day, it's an amazing job, which includes no spare time, no private life! So think before you join this business... |
