DESIGN
What is your specialty?
Pite Creative is a corporate communications leader specializing in the design of annual reports, websites, investor presentations, company brochures and corporate branding for publicly traded companies, non-profit organizations and emerging businesses.
Where can we view your portfolio online?
What made you interested in design?
Jonathan Pite is the President & Creative Director of Pite Creative. He has designed and produced well over 100 Annual Reports and developed as many web sites. He's been honored as one of the top 50 designers in the nation by Graphic Design/USA magazine; served as president of the Art Directors Club of Denver; board member of Design Coalition/USA and has been a lecturer, advisor and judge at universities, conventions, conferences and competitions.

His New York agency experience involved implementing advertising campaigns for Fortune 500 clients including IBM, Motorola, Pfizer, Merck, Microsoft and Citibank.

Photography assignments around the world have included work for The New York Times, Forbes Magazine, General Motors Company, ATT, Manufacturers Hanover Trust Bank, the Jamaican Tourist Board, The Depository Trust Company and Connoisseur Magazine.
What has been your professional career path?
In 2001 I formed Pite Creative as a boutique corporate communications firm specializing in the creation of annual reports, websites and collateral materials for public companies. We also produce investor presentations, conference booth displays, company brochures, newsletters, ads and corporate branding for clientele including non-profit organizations and emerging businesses.

Pite Creative consists of myself as its owner & creative director and a flex staff of nomad creative and on-site admin.

My bio includes graduating in art from the University of Colorado in the late seventies and then moving to New York City where I became a corporate & travel photographer. This was at a time when companies were still sending shooters around the world which I parlayed into extensive travel assignments working for the New York Times, Forbes Magazine, Connoisseur Magazine and the Jamaican Tourist Board. One of my assignments, a book project called The Day in the Life of Japan in 1985, brought me face-to-face with one of the first Macs - and it was love at first site.

After some extensive time shooting in the Far East, I returned to New York and started submitting my agency photo assignments with layout and design. My first brochures for GM, AT&T, Mannie Hannie and the Depository Trust Company established me as a graphic designer. I gradually shifted away from travel photography and into studio design until finally landing a job as a design director at a New York ad agency. There I implemented ad campaigns for Fortune 500 companies including IBM, Motorola, Pfizer, Merck, Microsoft and Citibank.

In the early nineties I was hired as a creative director at an investor relations agency in Colorado and seized the moment to move back. Since then I've created hundreds of annual reports, websites and collateral materials for public companies across the country - many winning national and international awards. I've been President of the Art Directors Club of Denver, on the board of Design Coalition/USA and a member of AIGA. And I've been a lecturer, consultant and judge at universities, conferences and competitions.
Have you received any awards for your work in the field of design?
Jonathan Pite has won awards for his work in the Potlatch Annual Report Show, Strathmore Annual Report Show, Financial World Annual Report Show, Nicholson Annual Report Show, Art Directors Club, American Graphic Design, Creativity, Public Relations Society of America, Business Marketing Association, International Association of Business Communicators, American Marketing Association, and Creativity In Public Relations Association.
