Interview with:

Chuck Harduby [kukahana]

What is the business idea that you are working on right now? How did you come up with it?
God's Blessings was an inspiration from God on August 4, 2008. It is a biblical and spiritually based gifting program where a one-time out-of-pocket gift can return unlimited gifts back to the giver.
Is there a website, blog or social media link where we can see more about your project and/or yourself?
Yes, please visit http://www.freewebs.com/kukahana for more info and FAQ's.
What is your professional background? What were you doing before?
I am an independent courier by trade.
How did the entrepreneurial spirit rise up in you? Were you exposed to entrepreneurship in your family or your social environment when you were a child?
I honestly felt at a very early age that my hard-earned money should not enable somebody else to sit on a sunny beach 4-5 times per year while I struggle to make ends meet. I grew up in a large family where we seldom took vacations because my Dad worked long hours at the steel mill to provide for us. I didn't want that same fate.
Do you have partners working with you on this? How do you split the work with them?
No, it's a one-man operation.
Describe your business plan as briefly and simply as possible.
It is a biblical and spiritually based gifting program where a one-time out-of-pocket gift can return unlimited gifts back to the giver.
What have you achieved up to now? What have you yet to achieve?
I have a wonderful wife who stands by me in all I do and 2 beautiful adult girls who live in CT. My relationship with God is at the center of my life so I am waiting in anticipation for the day He comes in Glory!
Are you looking for investors? What are you offering in exchange for what?
The term is not investors, rather members of the program. They will receive the blessing of being in a program where the gift they give will bless 1 person and in return, when they tell others and they join, the gifts will flow back to them and the people in their down lines.
Do you have employees or people that you outsource tasks to? What do they do?
No, it is a one-man operation.
Entrepreneurs have a reputation as "control freaks." How do you avoid that?
By giving control for everything in my life to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
How do you balance work with relaxation?
When God says work I work, and when He says relax, I relax.
What is your main motivation: being your own boss, adventure and discovery, getting rich, doing good for others, or is there something else?
Helping others.
What do you think of big corporations? Would you work for one?
If a big corporation isn't driven by the "almighty dollar and greed" then they are okay. I would NEVER work for a big corporation for that reason. I have seen few, if any, that are NOT driven by greed.
Describe two moments of maximum fear and maximum satisfaction that you have lived through in your business adventure.
There have been no instances of fear but the satisfaction of knowing people are very satisfied with this program gives me great joy.
When you need guidance or advice, where do you find it?
Up to what point is luck is important? How do you attract it?
I don't believe in luck so I place no importance on it.
What do you do to maintain morale and continue persevering in low times?
Which well known entrepreneurs/enterprises do you admire? Why?
God because He is the great I AM!
What other types of businesses are you frequently tempted by?
Are these times of crisis good for beginning a business?
I don't have an answer except pray and let God lead you to the answer He has for you.
How important have PR and social media been for you?
Have not used.
What would you call success? Where would you like your business to be five years from now?
Success to me is measured by how well you relate to people, treating them as you would want to be treated.
What skills would you advise a want-to-be-entrepreneur to acquire?
An overwhelming desire to help others is the key to being what God desires for you, then you will see all you need to go into whatever field He has for you.
