What is your profession? What is your title printed on your business card?
Secretary
What did you study and why did you choose to study that field?
I studies accounting and information technology simply because i love dealing with numbers and tech
What is expected of you in your job, and how do you accomplish it?
Well in my job i am expected to do the daily Morning State which is a summary of crimes that happen in the island each day and i do this to the best of my ability via computer

Are you satisfied with the education that you received?
No entirely because after i finished high school i did not get to further my education as i planned
In which areas have you thought of building upon your education?
I plan on doing further studies in Accounting and Information Technology
In which tasks are you good at, and in which could you better yourself?
I'm great when it comes down to doing anything on the computer, also typing etc and i can get better at mathematics as it pertains to numbers and formulas
Do you usually attended seminars or coursework to advance your professional work or would you consider yourself a more self-taught person?

When did you realise that your work was being considered important and that it could possibly take you places?
Well, from the start of my work experience.
Who have been the most influential people in your career?
Well at the moment my daughter is what gives me the boast to go to work everyday and do my best so i can make a better future for her.
With which types of persons do you feel you work well with as a team?
Persons who are willing to go the extra mile to get the work done
Which goals have you focused on in your professional career?
Trying to save up for my daughter's future is my main goal
Which publications associated with your field do you regularly read?
I read almost everything that has to do with advancing my knowledge in my work space
Which languages do you speak, and how have you learned them?
Well main language English, a bit of Spanish and Creole... how i learned Spanish and Creole i used to study a bit of Spanish in school and i have friends that speak it and as well as my daughter's father speaks Creole and i also have friends that speak it.
Do you have a website or blog? How was the process in making it? Does it accomplish the purpose for which it was created?
No don't have either of the above mentioned
How do you feel about speaking in front of an audience? What experience have you had in this arena?
I have no problem with speaking in front of an audience as well as I'm not too fond of it but if i have to i will. I have had experiences of that sort only in church :)
Do you attend cocktail parties, presentations, fairs or conventions related to your profession?
Not very often
Have you explored the social networks for professionals online? Are you member of any of them?
I am not certain
How are you different from others in your professional sector?
Well they practice favoritism, i am neutral and i take my work seriously!
How is the Interent changing the way you work?
It changes it for the better, things like faxing has changed to emailing which is faster and more efficient
Do you do telecommuting?
Yes i Do
Do you feel your hobbies serve to elevate your career?
Yes i do, i am a very up beat person and that's a plus when answering phones or communicating with the public
Do your hobbies aide in professional networking?
I would think so!
Would you relenquish some of your income in exchange for more free time?
Honestly, I dont think so because time is money where i work
What are the things you least like about your job?
One of the things i least like about my job is that these people are very picky and they take favoritism to another level!
Besides your current profession, what other things would you have liked to have been?
Well, one of my goals is to become a Police Officer i work close with them and was even in training before but had to leave because of circumstances beyond my control but that a very challenging area that i would love to still pursue
What is the most important thing you have learned from experience?
Discipline, tolerance and self control
When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When i was young i really wanted to be a singer/model :) i mean which child didn't i have a talent when it comes to singing but as i grew up I've seen so many violence around me that i rather be in the law enforcement agency then the victim of a crime.

No definitely not...it gets too emotional when those two mix!

How do you handle customer complaints?
I try to resolve the situation calmly and satisfactory!
Someone wants to ask for a pay rise and they ask you for advice in how to approach the matter with their boss. What do you tell them?
Well simply just write a letter or request a small meeting with the boss and just be honest and straight forward.
What do you do to manage stress?
Well i dance and sing and relax just have fun and melt the stress away :)
What are the most common mistakes clients make when they judge your work?
Nothing much to judge really .. like i said i do my job to the best of my ability!
