| What was it that made you create your blog? On what date did you start it? I started my blog in 2009, that was my 1st time to travel out of my homeland. The 1st foreign country that I visited was South Korea, and I decided to write about my travelling experiences online. From there, I travel blogging started to improve. I won the 30 best visit Korea blog in 2009 organized by Korea Tourism Organization. Therefore, all the achievement made where I am today! |
| What blogging system have you adopted and why? I am using blogspot since it is google platform, free and easy to use. |
| How many visits a day do you get? What type of comments do you receive? Now a day, about 500 - 600 visitors a day and usually received many comments about request on travelling advices and recommendation. |
| How has 'having a blog' contributed to your life? I learned many stuff that I couldn't learn in physical life, SEO, digital technologies, entrepreneurship and so many more opportunities come to knock my door! |
| Have you created relationships with other bloggers or readers of your blog? Yes, it take some time to do it and I am active in travel blogging network as well! This relationship will only help all the bloggers to grow! |
| How often do you post? Does regular posting of your blog require a lot of effort on your part? few times a month, I usually take some time to make a quality blog post to ensure it is really useful for readers! |
| Does blogging bring in income for you? Can one make a living from posting? Blogging do bring in income for me but I am not yet on the stage of make a living out of it! Probably soon.. |
| How do you promote your blog? Promotion through all sort of social media from facebook down to StumbleUpon. |
| How would you define your readers? Have you got a faithful audience? Since my blog is all about South Korea travelling, so most of my audiences are a traveller who heading to South Korea or a traveller that already in South korea! And of course most of them are Korean Fans! |
| Are there any blogs you follow daily or regularly? Yeah! most of the blog that I follow are travel blog as well! The blogs that I followed are all in the Travel blogging network! |
| Have you ever received gifts for blogging about your opinion of products or services? What do you think of bloggers who do that? I received some offers and I participated in blogging competition! Not about gifts. I giving out flight ticket for reader who will the contest that I organized on my blog! It was truly enjoyable feat! |
| How do you see your blog evolving in the future? Yes! Travel blog networking will never stop my blog to evolving and of course learning from the other successful travel blogger will improve my as well! |
| What advice would you give to someone who wishes to begin a blog? Think wisely about the topic and area you are passionate about and start right away! Learn about SEO and social media! That will motivate more for you to continue blogging! |
