Which is your specialty in psychology?
I have been a licensed MFT since 1989 and I run the ADHD Solutions Center in Murrieta, CA, I see children and adults with attention problems. I train parents about the disorder and how to help their children navigate through the difficult years of education. I also train adults with attention problems on how to work with their ADHD tendencies in order to make their inattention less of a problem in their lives.

where I post information about ADHD and suggestions of how to work with this disorder.
What methods do you employ? Could you briefly explain the principles your approach is based on?
My work is based on the work of Dr. Russell Barkley . I use an educational approach to teaching parents how to work with their children. The book we use is the American Academy of Pediatrics book; What every parent needs to know about ADHD. In 4 sessions we cover what we scientifically know about ADHD, medications and options, behavioral program, and how to work effectively with your school to get the help for your child.
With adults we work using Barkley's book; Taking charge of Adult ADHD to help them learn about the disorder and how to work more effectively with it.
How do you market your services? Where do your new clients come from?
I mainly market with Pediatricians, school teachers, and former patients. I also have a web page and a facebook page.
What kinds of people do you think are at high risk for addiction?
I think untreated people with ADHD are at a high risk for addiction. It is discouraging to be in high school and flunking your classes. Under such circumstances, drugs and alcohol look like good ways to avoid the reality of your inability to concentrate and do well in school.
