DESIGN
| What is your specialty? Mostly graphic design. Mainly logo design. Though I don't mind doing print ads, flyers, business cards and all that jazz. Oh, and I'm also really excited when making some labels and packaging... Mmmm... it's so yummy :)

What made you interested in design? was into drawing since school time.. but got into design when saw inspirational galleries online and realized that I actually can do if not better then at least not worse :) and then you know... it's kinda addiction - bang! you are already deep into it:)
What has been your professional career path? err... have never thought of that as a professional path.. maybe it's just the time to think it over... when I've all the thoughts put together I'll definitely be back to you with the answers :)
Have you received any awards for your work in the field of design? had some logos on mine featured here and there online and in some logo book.. If that counts, then yes - I did
What is your motivation? What makes you get up in the mornings? alarm clock - look from the 9th floor - mail inbox - coffee :)
How would you define your design style? I love a term coined by Ora Ito - simplexity... Besides I typically strive for less is more... and make things that always work well in B&W
How do you promote and move your work? So far it's mostly twitter, blogs, word of mouth... Actually, I rely on social part of the web, since mostly my clients are not local ones

Shapes, color, concept: where do you usually begin when conceiving a design? thoughts - concepts - doodles - shapes - colors... smth like that
What are your sources for documentation and to generate ideas? ideas can come really out of the blue, so I always keep a notepad handy.. Some inspiration sources are online, some are offline... but usually I refer to those only in case my brain is in dead end and can't generated something solid, creative and appealing
What is your favourite type of customer? the one that pays :) ideally the one which works together with me, not just saying I want it like this this and this. Many believe it's an ideal one, but it's really wrong...
To a certain point, is copying justifiable? there's a belief that evth has already been created and designed and we merely modifying the things... if we keep to this concept then yes - copying is justifiable :)
List some things you dislike seeing in design. clipart, too many colors, trends, Comic Sans :)
Do you believe the newer generations are better at designing? it's always so... knowledge base is growing, tools are developing, it's a natural process
With which type of client would you decline in working for? the one asking to work for free, one who is abusive and disrespectful to my work, one who is asking for some stuff that I don't do for my own moral principles... Hopefully I havent just reduced my clients base:)

Which software applications do you most utilize in your work? Adobe Creative Suite 4... and waiting for April 12 and CS5 :)
Up to what point do your designs reflect your personality? Hard to say.. when it comes to a logo it should reflect a brand, a message not the designer's personality
If you weren't a designer, what would you be doing? I guess a photographer
At this moment, what would be your dream job or project? Would like to try and work in some design studio... over something that takes a month or two of creative work... Would be interesting...
Can you see yourself in this field twenty years from now? well, if my eyes and brain are fine - why not :)
