PROGRAMMING
How did you begin programming and at what age?
I start programing in Visualbasic with the first book what i can buy. i cant learn anything form that book, the i start studying c and start doing my first app's. all started when i have 15 years old.
What languages do you code, and in what platforms?
I code in java, php, actionscript, javascript, in linux and windows platforms
What machine configuration and operating system do you use?
i most used AMD machines, a low end machines, all with linux and windows operating systems.
What motivates you to undertake a new project?
the need of money and the enthusiasm to create something new.
What part of project development is most gratifying to you?
the finishing, when i deliver the project and all the people it's happy :)
From the outside, it seems a rational job, but is creativity necessary for programming?
depend of what you are coding, if you are coding a game or some interactive app, yes, but if you are coding a administration tool, no, but what all type of project require pasion, whiteout you cant think and implement the right solution for the problem.
What conditions do you need to concentrate when programming?
i need a quiet and peaceful place whiteout distraction.
After working for long periods of time, have you ever felt as though you were in a bubble?
yes, sometimes that happen, when you are too involve too much time with a project.
When you check out code you wrote time ago, what's the main difference with respect to code that you write nowadays?
the name of the variables/functions what i put in my code. also, now i make more efficient code than before.
Do you still buy programming books, or do you learn everything from online sources?
i learn everything from internet.
Do you think programming should be taught at the basic education level?
i dont know, i can say programing it's not for all the people, maybe need to be like an optional task
What has been your experience in marketing your software?
some, but not too important or significant.
What do you learn from software users?
i learned we work for them, we are the people who need to make the systems easy to manage for the user, our propose it's work to bring solutions for the world, but making a easy to manage for the end users.
What would be your solution against piracy?
making more cheap and accessible the products for the users.
Would you consider yourself rigorous in the organization of the coding that you write and on commenting it?
no
How do you calculate the budget for a software project?
i calculate in base of the time and effort what need to complete it.
What are your favourite games and on what platform do you play them?
i play only urban terror. a GPL mod of quake3. i only use linux platform.
How often do you clean dirt-buildup on your keyboard?
less time what he need it :P
How do you feel when friends or family ask for your help in solving domestic computer problems?
i'm always willing to help in anything what i can :D
