COACH
What types of coaching do you do? Who are your clients? Life coaching and Intuitive life coaching. People from all walks of life.
Can you provide a link to a site where we can get to know more about you, the type of work you do and/or the place where you do it? http://thesmilingsoul.com
How did you get into coaching? I have great listening skills and have been always good at helping others with their issues. Studied psychology and learned to tune in into my inner wisdom.
Do you have innate qualities, or is it something that you learned? Both. Personal development is a never ending process - my empathic skills have been a great help.
Can you describe briefly the technique or methodology you use? It is fully explained on my website.
When the coach is confused or lost, where does he/she find a guide? Good question. We all get lost from time to time. Other coaches help, and of course, our tuning into our higher wisdom- something that we practice every day.
What must the person you are helping contribute? patience
What motivates someone to work more efficiently? A wish for change and making a difference .
How do you work on the emotional plane? It's where the best results are achieved. Using empathy and making the client comfortable talking about their innermost fears and wishes is very important for sorting out emotional pains.
Can positive thinking can be developed into a habit? Absolutely.
How does one learn to listen? By being interested in people and the way they think. By being in the "now"- and letting the energy flow. Everybody has a story to tell, and the whole world is our teacher.
How do you define the concept commitment? What importance does it have in the development of a person? You must learn to love yourself . When you do that, committing to someone or something flows effortlessly because you feel the need to be present and it comes as naturally as breathing. When there's no self- love, there can be no love nor commitment to anyone or anything , because your self worth is low.
Both of the following are necessary, but how are dreaming and realism balanced? There's time for everything. Nothing can be achieved before it's thought or dreamed about- it's the idea that gives birth to the realization of anything. So -dream,imagine- realize.
Is it necessary at times to reorient a person’s desires and expectations? Yes.
Discipline and creativity: are they two forces in opposition, or are they complementary? Complementary- intertwined.
What are your personal relationships like with the people you work with? Wonderful. Very rewarding.
What is usually the main obstacle your clients face? Accepting the fact that THEY are in charge of their life and decisions.
How do you know if a challenge is the right one for a person? You feel it. You learn through interacting and talking about what they've already been through.
When the coach is confused or lost, where does he/she find a guide? Who is the coach of the coach? Other coaches and God- whoever you conceive him/her to be.
Can an excess of self-esteem be the worst obstacle? Not the worst ; just one of.
How do you recommend selecting a coach? Should it be someone who has followed the path that he/she wants to? Should it be someone they admire? It should be someone you feel is right. You must be comfortable with your coach-you must feel safe and have no doubts.
If someone wants to initiate a self-transformation, what general advice would you give him/her? Spend time thinking what you want out of life, what you have achieved and what really makes you happy. Find books to read, people to talk to, groups that pursue the same goal as you do. Ask for guidance.
