PHOTOGRAPHY
 | For how long have you done photography? How did you begin? I only really became interested in photography about 15 months ago; my beloved is mad about photography (particularly wildlife) and I trotted off to a retreat in the UK with a Panasonic Lumix so that I could take some shots of where I was staying, to show him when I returned home.
I was amazed at what I discovered - that even I could take some pretty spectacular shots with a small digital camera. Now I drive everyone crazy, am always with camera-in-hand! |
BLOGGING
 | What advice would you give to someone who wishes to begin a blog? Just dive straight in ... everyone can blog, it's so simple! Blogger and Wordpress are very easy to set up, have a lovely range of templates - there really is no excuse! |
PERSONALITY
 | Something in which you are completely incompetent. Knitting and crocheting - these things totally defeat me. I've tried and tried and tried ...! |
 | A word or expression that you love. Cherish. To treasure, to show the greatest affection and care for ... we should cherish our Selves, as well as our beloveds |
 | Which animal do you prefer for company? I prefer horses and rabbits for company |
MEMOIRS
 | Who have been the key people along your professional path; people who have believed in you and given you opportunities? I have been very blessed to meet some amazing people on my professional path ... the ones which spring to my mind immediately are:
Esther: a wonderful, generous, spirited lady who encouraged me to spread my wings and venture into the world of HR
Alison: my HR boss - she gave me a chance and believed in me; I only wish I had fully understood just how supportive she was while I worked with her. It's only now with hindsight that I realise the true value of her gifts ...
Bill: the best boss in the world and he always, without fail, stood beside me and encouraged me to develop my skills. I miss working with such a funny, talented and terrifically clever man but am truly grateful for his ongoing support
Tahlecion: the most amazing massage tutor and she taught me so much, not just at an academic level but how I aspired to be a practitioner. I am eternally grateful for her dedication and compassion - and for showing me the beauty of lovingkindness meditation practices!
Claire: a very dear friend and always the voice of reason: non-judgmental and takes no hostages, I know I can't pull the wool over her eyes!
Anne: again, another very dear friend who is ever-supportive and is an amazing light in my life, who knows instinctively when I need a gentle nudge out of my comfort zone: www.annejones.org
Lynn: a truly inspirational figure in my life, who really "gets" me even when I'm feeling fluffy around the edges; empowering and a constant whirl of energy with a level of savvy-ness I aspire to achieve: www.lynnserafinn.com
My beloved: last but not least, my dearest beloved. He doesn't pretend to understand me but loves and supports me nevertheless; when the going gets tough, his belief and trust keeps pushing me forward. I am truly blessed. |
