WRITING

What did you first read? How did you begin to write? Who were the first to read what you wrote?

I was a bookworm from a very, very early age. I can't remember an age where I did not read. Enid Blyton, Judy Blume, Roald Dahl, you name it! When I entered my early teens I got addicted to the Sweet Valley series. Oh man! Those were lovely times. I remember when I was in my early teens and used to go for tuitions to this lady. She loved everything I wrote! If I have a false sense of being a good writer, she is to blame! :p She used to read out my creative writing essays out loud... and all the kids used to sit and listen, and then they'd comment on how interestingly I wrote! Tee-hee. I was a crappy student of Urdu, but I remember writing a story in Urdu once which my teacher loved! He said I write 'like an author'. Obviously, you can sense how much that acknowledgment means to me now! Somewhere along the years though, I lost touch with being able to express myself in words. I rarely ever write now, and when I do, it's disorganized and it shows that I am trying too hard.

PHILOSOPHY

If the ticket price for a football match is twice the regular price for those 12 years of age or older, and your child turned twelve yesterday, what age would you say your child is?

Depends on my financial status.

What was your first crush like?

I really can't remember who my first crush was. I was a hopeless romantic since a very young age, though. I remember making up stories in my head about myself and a cousin of mine. Ugh. There were a few boys I used to like in fifth or sixth grade but nothing serious actually came about till I was fourteen. That is when I first felt attracted to a guy who I actually thought of wanting to be with... he had golden eyes, and red lips..and I saw him dancing at someone's wedding for the first time. He was very intense, and seemed quite mature. Yeah..my tastes haven't changed much.
