What do you do? How do you define yourself as an artist?
I am an artist expressing as a wild Angel wielding a paintbrush while engaging The Six Elements: Spirit, Soul, Earth, Air, Water & Fire as my partners in a passion dance called painting!

Your biography in four lines.
Creative Artist into Joyful Self Expression: Studied Art History, Painting, Sculpture, Movement for the Actor, 2 & 3 Dimensional Design, Surface Arts, Drawing, Dance, Photography, Cultural Anthropology, Critical & Creative Writing at M.S.U.
Began making things, sewing, designing and making photos (my first camera was a matel toy camera you put together) dancing, reading, writing & painting as soon as I could walk and never stopped!

How is an idea born? For you, what is inspiration?
Art Comes From Life; The Awe Of This Existence: My Experiences Filtered Through My Emotions and Spirituality!
What role does technology play in your creative process?
It's a Constant Companion to it: Like doing this Interview on my Mac. Uploading Digital Photos; Writing Descriptions of My Work & Working Processes Creating Quality Files for Archival on Demand Prints & Cards of my Art. Blogging, Networking, Research & Outreach. I also do Digital Prints exploring iPhoto Tools. For Me It's All About Bringing Technology Through The Heart Chakra and Humanizing it!!!
What is art?
Art Is A Window Of Perception: looking deeply into the Soul of Being! And, bringing back Tracks of Light for All Who Witness.
When do you get your best ideas?
Every Moment! It's about being Aware, Being Present, Being Clear: A Clear Channel...
How do you evaluate whether an idea is good or not?
You experience the work and you know the technical part is easy; you got it or you didn't!!! The Mysterious part is easy to, it grabs you or not.
Three creative ideas that you would have liked to have created?
I am in the process of creating them now!
When and how did you begin to see yourself as an artist?
At nineteen check out my blog for the whole story!
Do you consider yourself postmodern?
yes yes and no
Which artists do you admire and how do they influence your work?
Georgia O'Keefe, Dove, Hartly, Emil Nolde, Matisse, Monet, Picasso, John Marin, Winslow Homer, Milton Avery; are a few of my Mentors. Francesco Clemente is my favorite Contemporary painter.
What do you think about public funding for the arts?
more the better
Is art necessary?
Absolutely!!! The Soul and Spirit must have Food!!
Does it pain you to let go of a piece you have sold?
Yes and no; I select Nova Cynthia's Nova Cynthia's out of each series I create, that way I have a lovely valuable Collection of my own work to live with: and I create Artists Approved Archival Reproductions (Prints on Demand) of much of my Work including my Artist Trading Cards: Because I want to live with all my ART in some form as well as have it available for All who Benefit from it!
Is a work of art purchased, or is it better said, that it is the artist who is bought?
u buy art period
In art, there is no guide. How do you know what the next step is?
The Art tells you: it is a Partnership; a Dance!
What role have the figures of art dealer, gallery owners, representatives, and intermediaries in general played in your career?
They are very helpful: Partnerships formed with the Appropriate Ones I liken to a great Marriage, and are very Beneficial to my Career and my work as an Artist. I am also in complete control of how select works become available in other forms to enter the world; Through Redbubble and my online Arts Blog. I am also checking into opening an Estsy Store. I am also interested in building Partnerships with Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers and Decorators!!! And I've always had Great Relationships with my Private Collectors who often become Lifelong Friends.
Do you personally collect any items?
YES! What appeals to me is a lot is sustainable clothing and home furnishings. FASHION is my passion; a favorite to collect and wear, you know it's body art. Sarongs, shoes, undies, bras, tights, socks, hats, gloves, scarves, tanks, yoga clothes, jeans, femme dresses, oh yea! I also love multi-media & Book Arts! i also collect money & coins from around the world and am in the process of designing my own artist trade currency ( a new form of indie DIY fun exchange) and will trade it for yummy things like organic vegies, chinese herbs, indie made clothes, films, music, books, dances and cool events, medical-dental care, ph cards, living and studio space
