We work for and with a lot of agencies as their web or multimedia team.
But we have clients of our own such as five.tv
All come from word of mouth. |

When doing my degree the room next door was the country's first Multimedia MA, so I used to go to their lessons and skip my lectures |

At school they told me I couldn't do Maths and Art as a subject as there were no career paths open that way. They didn't know about programming and web design... |
 | Do you usually keep an eye on the work of your competition and analyze how they have done things? I like cool design sites - other than the odd glance not really |
 | How do you learn new techniques? Manuals? Tutorials? Trial and error? Google |
 | Does it irk you when something new makes what you've already learned obsolete? No - it is the way of the web. But I did and do struggle with AS3.
The web moves very quickly, and there are always younger folk much more experienced at new technologies than I. my job is to harness their skills. |
 | You spend many hours in front of screens and in dark rooms. How do you compensate for that on a personal level? I have kids. They dont like dark rooms |
 | If you have to hire an assistant, what qualifications and qualities do you look for when making your choice? Hard working geniuses. Thats it. |
 | What types of professionals are you used to collaborating with, sharing experiences with, or forming a team with? We work as a network rather than an agency. We use a number of digital specialists who are absolute experts in their chosen fields.
In this way we put together dream teams for specific projects. |
