| What made you interested in design? My perception of life and some good teachers that inspired keep going |
| What has been your professional career path? I've been working as a graphic design since 1994. I've worked in several agencies and now I've working as a freelance design delivering a high quality services for many clients around the world over the internet. |
| Have you received any awards for your work in the field of design? I did not participate of any reward so far. |
| What is your motivation? What makes you get up in the mornings? My family and my work |
| How would you define your design style? My design is shaped by the client expectation. I don't try to delivery what I like, what I do is provide what works. On my portfolio you will see things you will love (as a great designer) and things you will hate. Anyway, everything is done with a purpose and a achieved target. |
| How do you promote and move your work? So far, word of mouth, business cards and some fliers and postcards |
| In which new areas would you like to experiment? Well, I work with graphic design, webdesign, a little bit of coding and video design... I also work with 3d and I really wanted to work with 3d animation someday |
| Shapes, color, concept: where do you usually begin when conceiving a design? concept... then a piece of paper and anything I can use to draw |
| What are your sources for documentation and to generate ideas? magazines, internet, books |
| Which festivals or awards in your field do you find most interesting? never thought about it |
| What is your favourite type of customer? that one who knows what he wants, and those who are willing to receive new ideas |
| To a certain point, is copying justifiable? the client makes the rules, and I try play it as fair as I can |
| List some things you dislike seeing in design. I hate pour design made by amateurs who thing know anything just because they know who to open a PSD file |
| Do you believe the newer generations are better at designing? there is always room for good designers and always a lesson from older designers as well |
| With which type of client would you decline in working for? those who do not pay |
| How do you calculate budgets for a design project? some research, some conversation and a good look on how many hours the project will take |
