 | What do you do? What is your musical specialty? well i just finished school. so im just relaxing right now. hoping to earn a career as an entertainer. my musical specialty is singing.i sing basically alternative music. |
| Do you work alone or in a group? If in a group, who are the others you work with? singing is a passion of mine its not yet my work but im hoping to do it as a profession one day. i work alone |
| Is there a web address where one can listen, see, or read some of your work? well people can follow me on my new twitter account its renee_gotswag im hoping to start doing some home videos n stuff of myself singing and uploading them on you tube and of course that channel will be called renee_gotswag |
| Please list any awards, competitions, or other acknowledgments you would like to mention. well like everyone else i got dreams and where im from its hard to achieve those things.most would say we're behind gods back simply because we're unknown to most of the world.you cant really get anywhere in life in my country. |

| How did you begin making music? Who introduced you? when i was younger id write alot of music and poetry.infact im now 17 and i still do.my father bought me my first guitar and i practiced that for bout a year.im capable of figuring out chords just by listening to the sounds in music.but guitar isnt really in my field im more of a singer.i probably introduced myself because music is apart of who i am |
| What was your musical education? i completed a beginners course in playing guitar but i taught myself to sing. |
| When did you realise that making music could be a way of life for you? like i said before its a passion.not much have ever heard me sing but the lucky ones who heard fell in love with my voice.thats when i knew...i wanna be able to wake up and say i love what i do |
| What is your creative process? i need to be in my zone.. surrounded by utter silence. it allows my own imagination to flow or sometimes id be listening to music and my mind ventures off.not only do i sing and write songs but i love to draw. i get different inspirations and im more capable of writing or drawing masterpieces when there's a pinch in my mood |
| When do you have your most lucid moments, in the morning or night? i would say both. |
| Have you ever awoken with a melody created from your dreams? yes i have. once i dreamt i was having a photo shoot on this flooded jetty in the pouring rain but there was a relaxing piano piece playing that soothed me. |
| How do you know when a song is finished or needs no more changes? id usually sing them over.im very observant and im kind of a perfectionist so its something i just know |
| How did you discover your creative territory? How would you describe it? whell my grandfather is and amazing artist. he paints,carves,sculpts.he does it all but the amzing part is that he cant really see. yeah hes partially blind he dosnt see blurry he just sees shadows....my mother also is a very creative person so i guess the creativity flows in my blood.i love being this way personally i think there are two kinds of people in the world.the people who are great at academics and the creative people.im proud to say im in the creative department. |
| What part of your job is your least favourite? its not a job (still a dream im fighting for) the least favourite part i think for me would be not being able to help everyone like me.people with dreams that just aint making it to reality |
| How often do you practice? i sing every single day at anytime i feel. |
| How do you feel right before going out on stage? ive never gotten that chance.im still hanging in the closet |
| Which musicians or groups have been inspiring to your career? avril lavigne,seether,adele,miley cyrus,hinder,buddle of mudd,niki minaj,kanye west,missy elliot. and soooo much more. |
| List three songs that are key to your life. i learned from you-miley cyrus all around me-flyleaf, breakdown-seether |
| What should be done to stop piracy? this is something that cant be done. the most can happen are laws being passed in ever country in the world lol that might probably ease the problem |
| What type of music do you detest? Bollywood music |
| What time did you get up this morning? 6:00am every morning weather i like it or not my brain automatically wake me up at theat time.sometimes earlier. |
| How do you sell yourself? What has been your experience with record companies and representatives? well i let my music sell itself. i dont have any experience with record companies |
| What other things have you done to make a living? i work in my mothers boutique here in my country. and i would surley open a day care due to my love for kids |
| Have you ever played on the street or in the subway? How much did you collect each day? no i haven't |
| Who would you play with, without a doubt? bow wow or rihanna |
| What advice would you give to someone starting out in the business? exaCTLY AS IM DOING..GO AS FAR AS YOU HAVE TO AND HOLD ON TO THAT DREAM. NEVER STOP DOING WHAT YOU LOVE AND DONT LET ANYONE STOP YOU |
