HARMONY
What is your specialty? How do you help people find harmony?
Through having them focus on the inner self and on God.
Can you provide a link to a web site or blog where we can learn more about you?
www.missionstsergius.org http://www.missionstsergius.org/Franciscans_of_Divine_Mercy/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/EverlastingLoveOfChristMinistry/
What were the circumstances that led you to choose the professional path you have chosen?
A perceived calling from God to become His servant.
What is happiness, and the main obstacle to reaching it?
True happiness is inner peace and the satisfaction that you are making a difference in this world.
How do you deal with discouragement, despair, a sense of setback, etc.?
I try to determin what God is trying to tell me and what lesson I have to learn from the setback or discouragement.
Are meditation and prayer cultural variants of the same thing?
More or less, I believe that the two blend together very well and often bring abvout a greater inner peace.
Is faith necessary for spirituality to work?
YES!
Is it necessary to have a teacher to find the way?
The greatest teacher is God and the teachings of Christ and the great spiritual leaders who instructed us on how to achieve inner peace and comfort.
Is it necessary to have a purpose to find meaning in life?
Having a goal or a purpose for living and for getting up every day is much better than laying aroud and waiting for something to happen.
Is it wise to believe in things that do not exist if it helps you to be happy?
There is a lot in life that we can not touch and/ or see yet it exists. It may take special instruments to find it, like atoms, but they are real. So why is not a good thing to believe in things like heaven, God, The Holy Spirit, The power of evil, A Belief in God and His infinite mercy and love brings comfort to people so how can that be a bad thing.
How do you distinguish between spirituality and religion?
Religion is a man made thing, Spirituality is an inner feeling and can exist with or without a religion affiliation. Religions denomination can be helpful in finding your deeper self and spirituality but they can also be hinderances if they prevent people from finding the truth and the peace and love of God by discriminating against some people.
Is God an idea? Is God in the brain?
God is in all things because God is the power that holds them together and created all things and continues to do so. God is REAL, is in us and how well he is perceived by others who come in contact with us depends on how we use the gift of Free Will God instills within us as well.
What is your concept of free will Vs destiny, fate, karma?
Free Will is our ability to make choices, either Good or Bad. Karma is what we send out into the cosmos by our actions and if we send out negativce Karma, we may well receive it back. Fate may well be what happens when God takes over the direction of our life.
Give us a simple proof for the existence of the soul.
There is no such thing!
What happens when you die?
Your Soul lives on, Your physical form ( body) returns to the earth.
What is in a temple that isn't anywhere else?
Temples are buildings and not necessary. The body is the best temple and God can be found there if a person allows Him to reside there.
Do you believe in the law of attraction: that we attract what we think about?
a Strong possibility.
How does one maintain body-mind harmony?
By attempting to live their life in a manner that sends out goodness to all we encounter. By having compassion for the less fortunatate, sick, aged. By living your life in accord with the sermon on the mount and the teaching "Love one another as you love yourself"
Do creativity and positive thinking slow aging?
A resounding YES
What is your short list of healthy habits?
Get at least 7 hours of sleep, eat a balanced diet of healthy foods. Indulge in deserts wisely. Exercise moderatly. Be considerate of the needs of others. Never overindulge in anything. Try to learn something new every day.
In what ways has your spiritual practice affected your creativity?
I find it uplifting and awakening.
