| What made you interested in design? I respond to beauty and want to contribute to the aesthetics of creation around me. |
| What has been your professional career path? diploma in interior design, then self taught in fashion design for past 16 years, refining my craft, always learning and exploring. self employed with my own fashion labels and spaces as well as creating with a collective group artist events and spaces. |
| What is your motivation? What makes you get up in the mornings? birds chirping outside and the fact that I am alive to participate in this world |
| How would you define your design style? wabi sabi........sometimes tailored, sometimes draped, at little city mixed with nature, a little raw, a little clean, monochromatic, subtle, subtle like a thumbprint |
| How do you promote and move your work? networking, social media, editorial, word of mouth, |
| In which new areas would you like to experiment? art collaborations, from an artistic rather then commercial angle, texture, natural dyes, sculpture, more space creation |
| Shapes, color, concept: where do you usually begin when conceiving a design? always different, sometimes, concept, sometimes shape and colour, sometimes all three together. |
| What are your sources for documentation and to generate ideas? ideas that pop in my head when I am daydreaming, accumulated from the everyday input of ideas and images, that come out in a unique mash up aligned with my sense of aesthetics and beauty. The ideas and images come from walking around, social movements, environment, nature, art galleries, internet, inspiring people, unique characters real or imagined, my dreams, the places and people I dream to be, in or around. |
| What is your favourite type of customer? The ones that understand the detail and work that goes into something, the ones who love what they consume and are selective in their consumption. The ones with intention and who understand intention. |
