 | What is your blog address? What subjects do you deal with? |
| What was it that made you create your blog? On what date did you start it? I created it on 2nd September 2008 and created it over the love of EA/Maxis games 'The Sims', 'MySims', 'Spore', 'SimCity' and SimAnimals. |
| What blogging system have you adopted and why? I currently use WordPress because I found it the easiest to work with, highly customisable with the hundreds of plugins available and easy to theme to my liking. |
| How many visits a day do you get? What type of comments do you receive? It varies daily, if I don't post less than a hundred but if I do post then about 600+. |
| How has 'having a blog' contributed to your life? I've been invited to EA events but before having the blog I never got invited or nor could I attend. |
| Have you created relationships with other bloggers or readers of your blog? Yeah I've meet a few simmers at events who are great people who I'd like to meet again! |
| How often do you post? Does regular posting of your blog require a lot of effort on your part? I try every weekday (but not weekends) but only post if I have the time free as my free time has dropped yearly; used to have all day free and now I only a few hours. |
| Does blogging bring in income for you? Can one make a living from posting? It does sometimes but really depends. I think one could make a living from posting if you could get the visitors. |
| How do you promote your blog? Social networks; Google+, Facebook and Twitter. I sometimes post about it on EA forums. |
| How would you define your readers? Have you got a faithful audience? Wonderful and faithful and if I didn't have them, I'd probably stop. |
| Are there any blogs you follow daily or regularly? Ooh quite a lot I couldn't list them all! |
| Have you ever received gifts for blogging about your opinion of products or services? What do you think of bloggers who do that? Not from other bloggers no but I'd suppose that would be quite nice (depending on the gift). |
| How do you see your blog evolving in the future? I see it evolving daily, I try to change things and be different from others. I try to post daily but that's something I'm working on. My interest has sort of dwindled. |
| What advice would you give to someone who wishes to begin a blog? Go for it. Find something you love and get blogging. Don't be worried if someone else does the same, just try your best and be more for quality than quantity. |
