Do you have an online gallery where one can view your photos? www.snapcandy.me
For how long have you done photography? How did you begin? I have been obsessed with taking pictures since 1998. I have been a working photographer since 2001. I started taking pictures of objects, toys, and local and touring bands.
What has been your education as a photographer? I attended college and along with my general studies I took a handful of photography courses. However I think most of my education and growth as a photographer has come from just taking pictures; trying new things and getting to know my camera really well.
| Please list any exhibitions in which you have participated. FULL CIRCLE ART GALLERY-Fort Walton Beach Florida 2008 and 2011
THE SOUND MUSIC AND COFFEE HOUSE GROUP SHOW-Fort Walton Beach Florida 2007
FRAGILE AMBITION ART FESTIVAL-Fort Walton Beach Florida 2003 & 2005 |
What is your favourite type of photography? creative portraits.
What do you try to express through your photography? I enjoy taking pictures of the the little bits of life we sometimes miss. I like evoking an emotional response or a new perspective on the ordinary.
What type of preparation do you do before undertaking the photo session? I always look at the subject; what colors, objects and lighting would compliment them... I also love to look at art and pop-culture magazines for inspiration also, and Japanese fashion, Brooklyn street art, and french films are a huge part of what inspires a lot of brainstorming sessions.
Canon, Nikon, Fuji, Sigma, Olympus, Sony, Pentax...which do you place your bets on and why? I love my Pentax K-7 digital SLR and my Holga and Slim Angel film cameras.
When should one use film, and when should one use digital? I use both film and digital in my work and projects. It's really about what inspires me, what is needed to get the specific job done and which particular tool is best suited for it.
