| How did your professional interest in technology come about? when I joined AUC- American University in Cairo Computer Science Major was a new major i joined it and fell in love with computer... I have always been a Math addict ... a real math geek |
| Were you one of those who broke toys to see the inner workings? I prefer to study the inner workings of human beings see the effect of resolving computer issues on them |
| How would you describe the emotion that comes from getting involved in a new technology? New is awesome New is creative New is innovative new is the blessing of God, education, knowldge and science to make the world a better place |
| In your field of work, what is the major technological trend on the horizon? Cloud computing, more reliance on social networking |
| What factors should one keep in mind when giving advice about an investment in technology? added value

| Do you think businesses waste a lot of money on bad technology? Technology is the making, usage and knowledge of tools, techniques, crafts, systems or methods of organization in order to solve a problem or serve some purpose. It can never be bad, even if it went wrong, it can always raise awareness to an un-tackled problem or other unidentified issue it will always serve for a good cause if reasons for failure are well studied. so in a way money lost will be useful for something else in a way or another. |
| What brands or companies within your professional environment are you used to recommending with great confidence? It really depend on the situation, the needs, the budget... each customer user has specific needs which can't all be met by one brand |
| How do creativity and methodology combine to resolve technological problems? Creativity with some luck and this light that opens in your mind to guide you in the secret way of resolving issues is essential it is amazing how while resolving a problem you find yourself going in the right path ... Methodology is important but creativity is what makes the difference |
| Which one is needed to work in technology: great patience, or an especially ordered mind? It's a mixture of many things really Patience, creativity, never giving up and losing hope, thinking out of the box, it does not necessarily require an ordered mind but capable of searching, trying and investigating |
| Does pressure impede your concentration or is it a stimulus to outdo yourself? Pressure have always been my companion to success in studying at work every where |
| Aside from work, what other technologies interest you on a personal level? I love my ipad my best friend... I love artificial inteligence and modern inventions in medi and music |
| What are your favorite gadgets? If someone can't find you, what store would they need to go to in order to look for you? my ipad
they will find me in music, book related stores |
| Are kids and teens too “technified”? Can one become addicted to technology? my kids are addict to technology which has it's possitive and negative sides |
| Which is more difficult: dealing with machines or dealing with people? machines of course... you never get a thank you, a smile or a happy look from machines people remain always special the reason why we invent machines and technology |
| How often are you called on outside of work hours to solve an urgent problem? Sometimes not very often because I can always resolve most issues remotely |
| Play futurologist: what will the technology of your sector be like in 20 years time? well hard to know things change so fast... but manly technologies will be tailored towards medicine, human health, and fast paced life to facilitate communication and match the super speed time wheel |

| What professional challenge would you like to undertake at this time? Do my PHD and teach at University |
| Where is your professional career headed? What do you imagine yourself doing five years from now? Assisting Egypt become a better nation and it's youth become more educated, teach children and youth in NGO's |
