MUSIC
What do you do? What is your musical specialty?
I'm a singer of 'Braun Sugar' band (previously known as 'Brown Sugar') & now we're rockin' every Sunday night - 9pm onwards at the 'Firefly' cafe & lounge, KK Times Square, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah - East Malaysia.
Do you work alone or in a group? If in a group, who are the others you work with?
I prefer to work in a group. Being in the band (group) really teach me A LOT about relationship, teamwork, life, knowledge, experience, etc. Indeed it is! Rather than being alone. I'm really greatefull being with my present group band now known as 'Braun Sugar' [guitarist - Maharanjit, bassist - Roger & drummer - Rahman (Eric)] - They are more experience than me. Playing music starting with small functions & occasions such as wedding functions, parties, formal functions & etc. gives me & my bands a challenge to know ourselves better which makes us wants to improve in what we're doing. We really appreciates for the respons on good & bad comments given on our performances - It is precious! Thousands of thanks for my fans, friends & families for their support! You all are my inspirations - I mean it.

How did you begin making music? Who introduced you?
Since schooling & graduate.
Introduced by my uncle (Frankie Wong) who seed my music with Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Bad Company, Jimi Hendrix, Cream & lot more...
What was your musical education?
Only by experience & knowledge from my respective Senior Musicians who dedicate their lives in music & art. Maybe... If I intend to be a lecturer or teacher in music then I'll think about heading for musical education. Sorry, but that's the fact...
When did you realise that making music could be a way of life for you?
Starts with 'FEEL'. Then goes to 'SHARE'.
What is your creative process?
See, Listen, Think & Do It... - If it's good & worth it.
When do you have your most lucid moments, in the morning or night?
Depends on my mood. - CHEERS!!!
Have you ever awoken with a melody created from your dreams?
I don't remember? But I used to have a lot of melodies in mind to share with. Mmm... maybe after me & my band made our record album. There'll be the time...
How do you know when a song is finished or needs no more changes?
Until me & my band finalised the song & finished our recordings.
How did you discover your creative territory? How would you describe it?
When me & my band got a crowd while performing.
What part of your job is your least favourite?
Job of doing nothing or being lazy... I could easily got sick & tired if it happens.
How often do you practice?
3 to 4 hours a day.
How do you feel right before going out on stage?
Having a shower, good meals & a good rest...
Which musicians or groups have been inspiring to your career?
Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, James Gang, Uriah Heep, Thin Lizzy, Free & Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eagles, Santana, Kiss, Poison, L.A. Guns, Guns N' Roses, Skid Row, Slaughter, Motley Crue, Kix, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Metallica, Megadeth, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etc.
List three songs that are key to your life.
1) Soldier Of Fortune - Deep Purple
2) Rock N' Roll - Led Zeppelin
3) Wasted Time - Skid Row
What should be done to stop piracy?
Buy the originals.
Respect & support each other.
Know how to appreciate other's right.
What type of music do you detest?
None.
I listened to all kinds of music. But still I prefer to Blues & Rock music.
What time did you get up this morning?
7am.
How do you sell yourself? What has been your experience with record companies and representatives?
Give & show the best.
Being nervous but calm will make you ready to do your roll better.
What other things have you done to make a living?
Draughting.
Have you ever played on the street or in the subway? How much did you collect each day?
No.
Who would you play with, without a doubt?
Of course with my group band ( Braun Sugar ). But If we had chance why not, we will play with any labelled artists if they choose us.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in the business?
Prepared, ready, stay alert & success!
