 | What is your profession? What is your title printed on your business card? Business cards are from the past, but if I had one, you could read on it:

 | What did you study and why did you choose to study that field? I never studied (formally) in what I do now.
I graduated in literature, but never really worked in that field. |
 | What is expected of you in your job, and how do you accomplish it? Expectations are solely mine, and they last 5 minutes to 5 days, one at a time. Only my knowledge and experience (and technology) sustain their accomplishment. |
 | What links do you have on the Internet: website, blog, social networks? You can find me pretty much everywhere: Facebook, Linked, Technorati, etc.

 | Are you satisfied with the education that you received? Not at all....
You see, I am old... At the time, it was tought that learning latin throughout five years, for example, was the best education one could get. Hey, when I left school, I did not even know how to write a check or to build a wooden box.
As for my education versus what I do now, you will understand why I chose the autodidact path. |
 | In which areas have you thought of building upon your education? Never ending education... |
 | In which tasks are you good at, and in which could you better yourself? Good at: I like translating.

 | Do you usually attended seminars or coursework to advance your professional work or would you consider yourself a more self-taught person? For me, no need to attend whatever, as I am so very active in the trading community, which is selffulfilling through the net. |
 | When did you realise that your work was being considered important and that it could possibly take you places? A few years after I started, some people I was discussing with on the net told me I should teach Technical Analysis. |
 | Who have been the most influential people in your career? If I recall correctly, it was trader nick-named Kamtrader. I said to myself, if he can, I sure can. |
 | With which types of persons do you feel you work well with as a team? My work does not involve any kind of team effort. Moreso, it would be illegal. What I do requires a lot of concentration. |
 | Which goals have you focused on in your professional career? Goals? That's easy: Succeed in each and every move I make. That makes a career. |
 | Which publications associated with your field do you regularly read? Nothing on a regular basis. Mostly colleagues works/ideas. |
 | Which languages do you speak, and how have you learned them? French native. Learned English through watching TV from 3 y/o. |
 | Do you have a website or blog? How was the process in making it? Does it accomplish the purpose for which it was created? My blogs take a lot of my time, moreso that I am not tech savvy... It was real painful at the beginning, but now I am sometimes surprising myself... Nowadays, I would not do without. |
 | How do you feel about speaking in front of an audience? What experience have you had in this arena? I am not an orator, but as long as I have an itinerary, no problem: I did give a few lectures. |
 | Do you attend cocktail parties, presentations, fairs or conventions related to your profession? Not at all....

 | What are the things you least like about your job? Having to sit all day, all night...

 | When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? I remember I wanted to open the first library on the Moon. |

 | Someone wants to ask for a pay rise and they ask you for advice in how to approach the matter with their boss. What do you tell them? If the person does its job well, he/she will not ever have to ask for a raise. |
 | What do you do to manage stress? I back off and play a game of solitaire. |
 | What are the most common mistakes clients make when they judge your work? They want more. |
ENTREPRENEUR
 | What is the business idea that you are working on right now? How did you come up with it? Currently examining the potential benefits of giving free informations sessions to eventually bring in more clients. |

 | What is your professional background? What were you doing before? You may not beleive it, but I was a newspaper reporter. |
 | How did the entrepreneurial spirit rise up in you? Were you exposed to entrepreneurship in your family or your social environment when you were a child? There is no one close to me that has any ties whatsoever with being in business.
I like so much what I am doing (and I am good at it) that I decided to extend it. |
 | Do you have partners working with you on this? How do you split the work with them? No partners, no employees... All by myself. |
 | Describe your business plan as briefly and simply as possible. Easy: I buy a stock and sell it at profit. |
 | What have you achieved up to now? What have you yet to achieve? I now possess a great sum of knowledge. All I need now is more knowledge... |
 | Are you looking for investors? What are you offering in exchange for what? That would be nice... but illegal... |
 | Do you have employees or people that you outsource tasks to? What do they do? Again, all alone in this... |
 | Entrepreneurs have a reputation as "control freaks." How do you avoid that? I do not avoid it: I do control, and I like it. |
 | How do you balance work with relaxation? A bottle of wine, a good movie... But no balance here: work is 90%... |
 | What is your main motivation: being your own boss, adventure and discovery, getting rich, doing good for others, or is there something else? Simply doing what I like while earning a living. |
 | What do you think of big corporations? Would you work for one? I did work for a big corp. before switching to this...

 | Describe two moments of maximum fear and maximum satisfaction that you have lived through in your business adventure. Fear: Fall 2008 (markets crashing)

 | When you need guidance or advice, where do you find it? In my soul... |
 | Up to what point is luck is important? How do you attract it? Luck is built out of too many different elements to be integrated as an important factor in success. You can not attrack it. It is there and then it is not there. |
 | What do you do to maintain morale and continue persevering in low times? Look at past accomplishments. |
 | Which well known entrepreneurs/enterprises do you admire? Why? Buffett, again.... |
 | What other types of businesses are you frequently tempted by? None for now.

 | Are these times of crisis good for beginning a business? Absolutely. It is an opportunity of a lifetime. |
 | How important have PR and social media been for you? My work is divided into two segments. For the first (trading) it is not relevant. For the second (coaching), it is utmost important. |
 | What would you call success? Where would you like your business to be five years from now? Five years from now, easy: Five fold what I have today... |
 | What skills would you advise a want-to-be-entrepreneur to acquire? Knowledge, discipline, respect, if these are skills... |

 | What is your professional position? What responsibility do you have in your work? Self employed, ie my own boss.. |

 | There are people that prefer to invest in things that can be touched, like houses, art, gold, etc. Is this a bad idea? There are no bad ideas as long as the business is solid. |
 | What percentage of income should a 30 year old professional invest for the future? That depends of his goals, ie does he want to retire in 5 years or in 30? |
 | If a friend invites me to invest in his/her business, what precautions should I take? Just do not... if you care for your relationship... |
 | How is personal economics taught? At what age should children learn to handle their own budgets? In grade school... |
 | How secure are banks and government guarantees on deposits? That depends if the banks are members of a trustworthy organisation.

I am a full time stocks trader. I mainly post my findings at night for stocks I consider worthy, essentially from a technical analysis perspective. |
 | What was it that made you create your blog? On what date did you start it? My jobs requires lots of concentration, therefore I must be isolated. I still have the need to communicate and to help others. |

 | How has 'having a blog' contributed to your life? It allows me to reach out and/or to welcome people that would not have known me or my work otherwise. |
 | Have you created relationships with other bloggers or readers of your blog? Yes, but professionnal only. |
 | How often do you post? Does regular posting of your blog require a lot of effort on your part? Every night, and it is easy, as I was a professional writer before. |
 | Does blogging bring in income for you? Can one make a living from posting? Yes for now, I get a small income from it, just enough to pay a few bills. |
 | How do you promote your blog? I participate in forums/message boards/discussions, and the adress of my blog is in my signature. |
 | How would you define your readers? Have you got a faithful audience? Most of my readers are faithful: they appreciate and profit from what I do... |
 | Are there any blogs you follow daily or regularly? Not really... My days are full and at night, I am busy with my own... |
 | Have you ever received gifts for blogging about your opinion of products or services? What do you think of bloggers who do that? I have never received gifts, nor do I not advertise on my blog. I want to stay free. But I respect other's different choices. |
 | How do you see your blog evolving in the future? Getting many more faithful readers. |
 | What advice would you give to someone who wishes to begin a blog? Do not let the pressure dictate the regularity of your postings. Keep an open and honest mind and most of all, respect your readers in every way. |
