| How have your past experiences prepared you for teaching? How did you become interested in education? I have been an elementary shoolteacher here in the Netherlands for 11 years now. |
| Who was your most influential teacher and why? When I was 10 I had a schoolteacher that really cared for me. |
| What is your educational philosophy? You can be whatever you want to be, you can do whatever you want to do. You only need to decide and learn! |
| What is the most challenging aspect of teaching for you? Eveychild needs to have enough attention in order to accomplish whatever it is they want to accomplish..... but, there's only me and 30+ kids needs my attention! |
| What kind of relationship do you have with your students? I try to help them as I would help my own two sons. |
| What is the secret to instilling interest in knowledge? Let the children know what the power of knoledge is. Why do they need it? How will they gain it? And why would they want to learn? |
| What is your philosophy on homework and grading? Homework is needed to prepare children for everything that comes next in life and work. Grading is usefull so they know how they stand. They need to see how they are doing. |
| Is it possible to teach creativity? how? Yes, just practise and have fun while doing so. Look at my website to see what you can do as a parent to help your child develop their creativity. |
| How do you establish authority? What do you do when a discipline problem arises? Talk about rules up front. Why are rules needed? What will children gain off rules? What rules should their be? What's to be done when someone does not respect a rule? Make rules something for everyone. Make it everyones right. Not just the right of the authorityfigure. |
| What do you expect from your supervisor? What qualities would you like to have in your principal? I need a principal with a clear vision about education. His main goal must be the needs of the children! |

| If you could create the ideal school, what would it be like? A school in which every child enters every morning. Children will sit down and ask themselves the questions: "What is it that I want to learn today to accomplish what I want later in life?" "How am I gonna learn that today?" |
| What are your professional goals? Where do you want to be in five years? I want to create my own methodology for parents as means to aid them in helping their children develop. |
