Interview with:

Alice Cullen [therealmaxnalice]

BLOGGING
What is your blog address? What subjects do you deal with?
My blog address is www.maxnalice.blogspot.com. I am a vampire, and I recount the stories of my life. This is a fun, creative thing to do in my spare time, and I like other people to have fun reading it.
What was it that made you create your blog? On what date did you start it?
I started my blog in April 2009. I decided to create my blog with my friend Maximum Ride (at www.alicenmax.blogspot.com) because I thought it would be fun to do in our spare time, and fans of the books that we are featured in (The Twilight Saga and Maximum Ride) could relate to us and have fun reading the blogs.
What blogging system have you adopted and why?
We decided to go to www.blogspot.com because we had heard good things about it, and we decided to use that address. We blog three or more times a week, recounting our adventures and missions as a vampire and a bird-kid. We enjoy reading our comments and making our blogs the best they can be, while entertaining others.
How many visits a day do you get? What type of comments do you receive?
We actually do not get many views a day. This is because we don't like to give out our personal information (seeing that we, being a vampire and a bird-kid, do not want the police after us), meaning that we cannot do advertisments. We would ADORE to have hundreds of viewers. There are, actually, a few readers of the blogs. The types of comments that we get are comments giving opinions about the recount, for example: If we said that we went shopping, they would ask questions ("Where did you go?") and give their own opinions ("That's so cool that you went to Prada, I love Prada").
How has 'having a blog' contributed to your life?
It has made us love our fans and humans even more. We feel comfortable recounting our adventures to others, and it makes us feel human, even when we're not. We love to get back to our computers to tell people (even if they're not looking at our blog) what we did. Having a blog is a great thing, and it makes us smile when we look at our new comments.
Have you created relationships with other bloggers or readers of your blog?
No, we don't appreciate Facebook, Myspace, etc. We believe it gives away too much information, and it's not the safest thing.
How often do you post? Does regular posting of your blog require a lot of effort on your part?
We post 4+ times a week. Being vampires and birdkids, we have a lot of spare time not going to school, not sleeping/eating, etc. As vampires and birdkids, we try to find ways to pass time, so this is how we post often.
Does blogging bring in income for you? Can one make a living from posting?
No. We don't get paid. We do it for fun.
How do you promote your blog?
We don't. We just hope that other people will see our blog, and those people will tell others about it, and it will start a chain. We want as many people as possible, but we don't exactly want to give out too much personal info.
How would you define your readers? Have you got a faithful audience?
Our audience likes our blogs for the most part, although there are some members that do not stay on topic, but we LOVE our audience. We would do anything for more fans.
Are there any blogs you follow daily or regularly?
Not really, no.
Have you ever received gifts for blogging about your opinion of products or services? What do you think of bloggers who do that?
No, but we would adore that. We want as much publicity as possible.
How do you see your blog evolving in the future?
I hope that our blog gets many, many more readers. I think that if people knew about our blog, they would love it.
What advice would you give to someone who wishes to begin a blog?
I would tell them to never give up, no matter how many people who follow them. Having a blog is not about having fans and becoming famous, it's about having fun and writing your life story for other people to read.
