HARMONY
What is your specialty? How do you help people find harmony?
I am a change, life challenge and loss expert. I empower people to learn how to use the energy of difficult times to move themselves into a life of more ease, peace, joy and magnificence.

Harmony is a state of being in alignment with one's purpose, one's surroundings, and especially, one's inner self. I give people effective and practical tools that provide a bridge to their inner resources. Some of the tools I provide are self-help and self-care strategies, and others are energy tools, including intentional, positive music.
Can you provide a link to a web site or blog where we can learn more about you?
Take a look at www.themagnificentyou.com and you'll see some of the things that I do to help people with creating a life of joy and harmony.

Also, my grief and loss site is www.griefandlosshelp.com.

And my blog at www.themagnificentyou.com/blog.
What were the circumstances that led you to choose the professional path you have chosen?
I had a spiritual awakening after a series of life-changing losses and events. I was just completing my Master's in body/mind psychotherapy, and it was at this point that I began to be a seeker, thirsting for more knowledge of myself, the world, and what lies beyond our usual senses. It's been a wonderful, exciting journey!
What is happiness, and the main obstacle to reaching it?
To me, happiness is being in alignment with your purpose, what you came here to do. I think we get unhappy when we get in our own way, and block what is there for us to claim, our joy.
Do we think too much? Why is it so difficult to feel here and now?
I certainly do! I don't know about you, but I try to figure things out. Many times what is called for though, is to get into your body and feel your response to something.

All you need to do is to take a deep breath and drop your awareness down from your head into your body. Shut your eyes and just breathe. It will bring you into a different awareness.

We need both, so it's just important to be more conscious about creating a better balance.
How do you deal with discouragement, despair, a sense of setback, etc.?
I've had a lot of those myself, and I have learned to trust the process. What I mean by this is that I believe everything happens for a reason, and that within all of these setbacks are some keys to creating the life we desire.

We can look not only for the gift in a life challenge, but we can also look for clues to something better that lies ahead for us. In order to do this, I feel surrender to what is is essential. And it's also important to feel your feelings without getting stuck in them.

I have found that if I take time to sit in silence, and ask for guidance, I am given it. It may not be during that silent time, and in fact, at times it comes to me during unexpected ways, such as during the shower, or while driving in silence.

I do believe that sometimes we need these times of discouragement to let go of something we've been chasing, so that we can turn in a new direction, towards something that's more in alignment with our purpose and true desires.
Is faith necessary for spirituality to work?
I got one of those mustard seed necklaces when I was a young girl. Faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains...something like that. I remember the magic of those words when I was young, and I've kept that necklace as a reminder.

I think what we believe defines our faith, and that faith is necessary in order to feel the full extent of our divine/human power and abilities.

However, I don't think you have to have great faith to have spirituality work for you. We are all spiritual beings by definition. We have a spiritual, mental, physical and emotional part of ourselves and we need all 4 to work together. If your faith is small, it may affect your ability to manifest your desires, but it won't interfere with your ability to experience and develop your spirituality
How does one maintain body-mind harmony?
Body-mind harmony to me is body-mind-spirit-heart harmony. My physical self, my mental self, my spiritual self and my emotional self are all part of the whole ME.

In order to create this harmony, I must nurture all 4 selves. I must take time to feed each one of them so they can work optimally. For example, my body needs adequate rest and excellent nutrition; my mind needs to be engaged in nurturing conversations, books and information that assist my growth forward; my spiritual self needs time each day to commune with God; and my emotional self needs an outlet for expression and acknowledgment. These are just some of the ways to create this important integration of the 4 selves, creating harmony through this support of all 4 and integration.
What is your short list of healthy habits?
1) Time to be silent and listen for guidance from Spirit.
2) Deep breathing.
3) Play and rest.
4) Gratitude for what I have, including the challenges.
5) Appreciation and kindness towards others.
6) Service work
In what ways has your spiritual practice affected your creativity?
Oh my, that's a long answer. But the shorter version would be that when I take time to be in communion with my Spiritual Self, with God and other spiritual helpers, I open the creative flow.

I write music, and most of my music has come through Spirit. I am just the one to "record it" by writing it down. I feel like my whole life is about co-creation with God. And I am so grateful for this realization, because it makes it easier and more joyful!
