What is your specialty? Production, direction, something else?
Film directing
Is there a link to a site where we can see references to your work?

How did you begin in this field? Who introduced you to it?
My mother introduced me to film. I was three when I first started talking, I didn't want to talk before, I don't know why, but when I did I never stopped. So my mother had to listen to me talk alll the time. She has found that when watching films I don't talk, so she can do some work and relax her brain. So I never stopped wanted to watch films and after to make them myself
Which have been the most symbolic works of your career?
I still don't feel like I have some big career or that I will for that matter. But I liked film and love theater. I wouldn't be able to decide from a play or a film
Do you work for a client, for the audience, or for your own creative adventure?
all of the above
What should a good script have in order to interest you?
I usually write them myself but if I was to make a film with a script someone else has written it wold have to have a good plot, interesting dialogues and good intro to characters.I have seen films that I was embarrassed for bad dialogues and can't really understand that it passed all the production like that.
Name three contemporary directors or producers that you admire.
Darren Aronofsky, David Lynch, Ki-duk Kim, Michel Gondry, Adam Jones
What movies or television shows inspired you to work in this field?
Well I have watched so many film noir at the time when I was little so those were the ones that inspired me to want to make films, even though I never made one.
If an actor delivers the lines but is not believable, how do you direct him/her?
I make them tell the lines to someone that doesn't know them, someone from the crew that they have never met or that have no idea what they are doing to say.
What actor would you love to work with and what type of character would you propose to him/her as a challenge?
There is one actress I always wanted to work with but never did before and hope I will soon. She is a young actress from my city Andrijana. I have a few roles for her for some short films.
Are you the type who instantly knows when a take is good, or one who does another three takes to be safe?
I usually instantly know when the take is good and I don't take anymore but sometimes I am not sure so I take a few more.
What type of direction are you used to giving the director of photography?
I have a wonderful director of photography and I usually talk to him and make all arrangement before hand, he is with me all the way in the whole process. I just tell him what I want to concentrate on since I know everything else will be good- framing, lights. He know me well and know what I want.
How interested are you in image technologies such as robotized cameras, special effects, etc.?
Technologies change all the time and everything changes thus we have to change with everything.
Which has been your experience with conflicts between direction and production?
I only can have problems with time, if we have arranged something for some period of time and we have a good timeline and there are problems in production with that it ca get very stressful
Do you enjoy post-production, or do you prefer to leave that in the hands of other professionals?
I like to hand it over to professionals but I love to be there in the whole process and tell them all I want so we don't have to make a lot of changes.
Do you approach an editing session with a clear idea of what you want to do or with an attitude of experimentation?
I usually know exactly what I want but sometimes it just happens that we do some experiment just to check how it would be like.
What magazines or websites of the sector do you follow regularly?
I don't have much time to follow regularly any magazines but I do follow new films and filmmakers on vimeo, blip, mubi, lots of filmmakers forums...
What is the best movie than you have seen in the last year, and why did it seem especially good?
I can't say it's the best film I have watched but it's the one that stayed in my mind so I remembered it now http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0851577/
Do you eat popcorn at the movies?
No, I usually don't. they stuck in my teeth and make me uncomfortable so I can't concentrate on the film, but I like chips :)
What do you think of public subsidies for cinema?
definitely needed
What respect does the reality phenomenon deserve? What experiences have you had with this genre?
I don't have much experience in this "genre" and don't enjoy it in any way. I don't think it is used properly. In a documentary kind of way - sure, but what has been done now with it- does not deserve my respect at all.
What works best for you when selecting an actor: an audition, seeing some of his/her previous work or having a long conversation with him/her?
If I am writing a script I pretty much have the idea who I want for the role. But sometimes all of the above.
Do you like to have a second unit or do you prefer to control every still of a production?
Usually control everything. If I can't be in two places at once than I can give it to someone else I can trust.
Do you change the dialogue after selecting the actors in order to adapt the characters to them?
As I said if I write the script I know who I want for actors so don't have to adapt anything.
Which do you like more, large budget or small independent productions?
small independent productions

I prefer for it to develop and learn more about it

Big screen is a wonderful experience and it will always stay that way. But I do think mostly that future of the cinema is Internet.
Does the concept of interactive video stir up creative thoughts for you, or does it leave you cold?
Sometimes it is just good to have an interactive video, it can be interesting and creative and it can be build up more but it all depends.
What recommendations do you have for someone who wants to break into in the industry?
You really have to be very passionate about it and be an adrenaline junky. If you are not up for it than just do something else.
